*** New Site Questions And Comments Thread ***

Now that I figured out to mark forums as read, one more slight adjustment is needed for the threads themselves. Maybe it is just my computer, but the blue colors is hard to differentiate from the ones with no new posts and threads with new posts in them. The colors are too similar IMO.

Pure genius! Love this new AND improved CowboysZone. Smooth and nice on the eyes. Crisp format. As most have already said........ THANK YOU for all of your efforts over the years and for this shiny new site.

Reality for president!!

Anybody find an easy workaround for mutli-quoted replies?

Ah. Of course. I'd noticed that when I'd previously quoted someone, typed a reply, and decided it was not polite enough to post (See, who says I don't have a filter?). When I went back into that thread at another time, the quoted post was still ready for me.

Still, it's a good thing to mention, since we did a lot of multi-quoting on the vb site. Just hit reply for any post you want to include in your muti-quoted response and then Post Reply when your masterpiece is complete. Cool.

The quick navigation being transparent gets difficult to read if there's lots of text underneath.

Seeing what happens when you reply to self in regards to alerts.

The relevant CSS (xenforo.css, I think):
Code:
.xenOverlay > .section,
.xenOverlay > .sectionMain
{
    background: none;
    margin: 0;
}
It is much easier to read with a background-color:

The Members Online Now list should be alphabetized.

I wrote a mod to do that, but decided against using it. Because not all names are displayed to prevent the list from being too long, alphabetizing the names would mean names starting the later letters would not be seen.

OK, I see what you are saying. Maybe if clicking where it said "And XXX more..." expanded the box instead of taking you to the members list page it would be OK.

As is though it's really difficult to see if a poster is currently online.

Thanks

Well what I meant was I used to be able to change it to list 40-50 posts per page, and now there are only 20 posts per page. Just trying to find a way to switch it back to 40-50 posts instead of the 20 its set at right now.

Already answered a couple of times as I said. Go back an read this thread and/or the welcome thread.

Reality, I've gone to my PC, and love the new site, or will even more after learning all the new features. Trust you'll get to the tablet mods in due time.

I'm already getting used to the site.

A couple of things:

Can we get the "___ members viewing" feature for each subforum?

Can we also get that for each thread at the very bottom of the page?

It looks like with the next update, XenForo is going to use the "Click Here to Expand" system for quotes like I wrote for the old site. The reasoning is that it is more mobile friendly apparently.

Are you having problems on a tablet? I'm using an ipad right now and it's great. I actually think it's better than the old site. Some of the buttons are a bit on the small side (the page numbers for example), but even those are easier to click on a touch screen than they were on the old site.

I'm asking mainly out of curiousity. CZ used to be a little tough to work with on the ipad... Usable, but not the best. I find it to be much better now, so I'm curious what mods might come around to make it even better.
I'm using it in landscape by the way.
