Listen I am just really ticked off.

The NFL said get the NFL network to see the 8 games they have and one of them was a Dallas Game. So I got it.

Then they change the contract the week of the start of those games.

I have been paying for the NFL network for 4 months. I have the NFL network and they will not show me the game they promised.

They owe me 4 months of service IMO.

Your beef is with your cable company, and not the NFL.

They're screwing the cable company, because of larger issues that I am oblivious to. The cable company does not care - because you stick with them, regardless, because of the magical package. So the NFL will continue to screw them, and in turn - you. Pretty soon, there'll be no KY left.

NFL replay is awesome, the fact they have games is great, they have the senior bowl, the live press conference show, the live preseason game whip arounds, the new 40 part Super Bowl documentaries, NFL Films Presents, the Texas Bowl, the Insight Bowl, Total Access, the college FB show on Saturdays, the list goes ON AND ON.

The other dude makes it seem like its all cheerleader stuff, when nothing could be further from the truth. The NFL network has some great programming. Whoever says it is trash is just pissed off they cant get it.

Translation: I work for the NFL Network and they better be here to stay, or I'm out of a job.

Seriously, who cares about the Texas Bowl, Insight Bowl, and Cheerleader Playoffs?

And they replay their shows more than ESPN replays Sportscenter and Cold Pizza.

I wanted football - so cable went - directv came. I hated stock radio, so radio went, satellite radio in. There are a few who understand that there are choices out there. And as more do, the services will cater more to the consumer. I really don't think people should complain (no offense rex) about getting screwed by the cable companies. You have a choice.

The cable companies make themselves attractive with their stupid packages, but you can save money through a phone company with DSL and phone service bundled, maybe even cell service too. So, the cable companies get to keep giving you **** for service, and screwing you out of your football.

Don't take it lying down.

You and I are a lot alike. I recently got satellite radio because I was sick of the senseless crap that is on regular radio. Plus I hate hunting for sports talk stations when I travel in the car. Not a problem anymore.

I changed to DirecTV for Sunday Ticket and their international programming options (for my mother-in-law who now lives with us).

I like having options...and the cable company couldn't provide them for me, regardless of their "tiers", which get to be more expensive than satellite by the time you add everything up.

It is freakishly coincidental that there are so many obstinate cable companies out there. It couldn't possibly be that the NFL is being a jerkwad in this entire ordeal.

You see no problem with the NFL network promising coverage of these games in order to lure people to subscribe then when it is time to provide coverage for these games the NFL network hikes the rates 800%?

This is very bad buisness.

I can't expect my cable company to "eat the bill" on an 800% rate hike that is ridiculous to expect a buisness to eat a major charge llike that. Buisness would go under using those kind of practices.

And I could care less about cable companies. So I made my choice. ;)

It's much better. When I had cable I had like 3 ABCs, 3 NBCs, 2 CBS, 2 Fox, just a bunch of crap. Cable can't touch satellite in terms of service, price, everything that actually matters. I believe if it weren't for cable internet service the cable companies would be having a tough time of it right now.

They don't have satellite dishes on your planet?
Can't have them in my apartment complex. In any event, my service is switching to Comcast in January because of the Time Warner/Comcast deal.

DirecTV is your solution, and it is worth the extra $10 month you will pay for high speed internet.

BTW, you will still get expanded basic cable even if you only have the high speed internet.

The $10 per month extra is because the cable company knows you will still get expanded basic cable with your high speed internet, and this is what cable is really worth (instead of the $50 per month that they regularly charge you).

Why in the world would anyone listen to the complaints of a cable company? They say they can't broadcast the channel or games because it would cost the subscribers $2 a month or something. Well, everyone knows they're going to raise your bill $2/month anyway, they always do, and always will. Hell, they even try to charge you $50+ to "install" HD! Like it costs $50 to swap composite cable for component. Cable companies are of eeeevil. So evil in fact that you would say they are the fru-its of the devil.

I don't disagree with you at all about what is better however the point of this thread I started was to show how the NFL network has completly lied to their customers and using very bad buisness practices.

The NFL network told me they are showing the games, I subscribed, they are going to keep taking my money but not provide me the promised coverage. This is what I am upset about. They could of done this next year and I would be fine. I would just cancel my subscription and find another way however this happened the week they started their games.

Without warning they completly screwed the customers the promised coverage of the games and took our money anyhow.

yes, they said to get the games I need to have the NFL network.

I have the NFL network and I have no coverage.

The only thing that changed in between now and then is they demanded an unexpected 800% rate hike from my cable company to broadcast the games.

They gave no warning and they did this on the week they started to show the games they had already promised me and my cable company that we would have just by subscribing to their service. They changed the contract.

The NFL network is no longer providing the service it promised. I paid for their service they are no going to provide.

I like football, the channel shows football. The whining about the NFL network is out of control right now.

Probably because someone bought the channel to watch football and they decided not to show football.

That is who needs your ire. And your action, if you are dissatisfied.
