Roger always before when he gave a date he did not really speed it up as regards allowing the player to play in a game. So When he said Week 6 he probably means exactly that.
AND I DOUBT there is going to be any outcry about letting Vick play earlier.

I hope this guy gets a second chance with a good club. I don't think he realized the magnitude of the situation he got himself into, and so hopefully he can salvage his career.

Yeah ok, it wasnt his fault. he didnt know he was involved in such thuggery.

Atlanta had trash for receivers when he was there, so I really can't speculate on how good of a QB he actually is. I do know he's a game-changer and very exciting to watch.

Isnt it something how the guys that were there when Vick was were the problem. However once Vick is gone one becomes a probowl WR and one of the better young talents in the league at WR, and the other gets a long term contract extension because he has done nothing but produce since?

Denver seems like a good fit. There's no way that their mgmt could do anything more to upset the fanbase at this point. Shanahan was loved there. Cutler is obviously far better than Orton. I'd bring Vick in.

Since we play the Donkos this yr, hopefully this would happen. I'm sure Oakland, KC and SD will be pleased too.

From a financial standpoint, Vick would be privy to give himself the best shot at returning as a starting QB. They are more needed and higher paid in this league than wide receivers. Signing with NE wouldn't help his debt as much as signing with a team desperate for a QB. If Culpepper could find a job as a QB, I'm sure Vick can if he just stays patient.

Signed, Vick's mother.

Maybe someone can answer this for me.

Didn't Vick already get suspended indefinitely two years ago when all of this went down? If so, hasn't he already served a 2 year supension...or at least the amount of time between when he was suspended until when Atlanta officially released him recently?

One more thing. I'm sure some of you have heard that TO has come out today pretty loudly against the additional supension--saying Vick has already paid an enormous price. he says the players union should speak up. :p:

Just an fyi

Whose gotten to more Pro Bowls, won more games or scored more total TDs?

Vick averages about 650 yards per year on the ground alone.

He may be a complete loser in many ways but he gives a team chances to play winning football. Is he an elite guy? Not even close but is he a better option than a Sage or Tarvaris? 100% so.

Now again this is Vick at his best though I make no guesses as to how he looks right now.

I'd like him to stay away from Washington personally.

He is a heck of a runner but not much of a QB, you are right he can make plays but those plays tend to be running the ball.

That type of anti-aircraft gun was sometime referred to as a Pom-Pom gun, from the sound it made as the two barrels fired in sequence. Good visual pun! Maybe not what you intended?

Yeah he was suspended indefinitely. Today's decision was a reinstatement. Two totally different things. The commish suspended him with the option to reinstate him at a time of his choosing. That time is apparently now between weeks 1-6. I think it will be sooner rather than later...particularly if he chooses a team with a strong coach that can shelter him from the media circus. If he's shielded from the media, there can be no fuel. I'd put in a gag order on Vick related questions to other players and coaches and definitely not let him speak to the media himself once he signs with a team.

Hopefully if he apologizes to PETA and starts speaking for the humane society, there won't be many protesters.

It's about time... Welcome back Mike!

Yeah...welcome back Mike! You are a hero to a lot of fools who think you did no harm in the first place.

Hopefully you can come to Dallas...there might be a "grassy knoll" right up your ally.

Nearly two years in the pen and losing 70 million dallars can make someone grow up real fast. I sure hope he has learned his lesson. I notice Joe Gibbs and Tony Dungee seem to think that may be the case, but both are smart enough to know only time will tell. He was a fool and did not handle his situation well going in...we'll see if he handles things better going forward.

BTW, are you in Virginia? My family (mostly in NC) is having a reunion in Fancy Gap, Va this weekned but I here it is suppossed to rain all week. crap.

What happened to that Mayor/DA, or whatever his name was, in VA? I thought Vick still had to go through that trial...or did that get dropped?

Poindexter was his name?

Far from it David.

Just wonder why you feel to the need to wish ill will towards the guy in every thread concerning him.

Because he did something I find extremely deplorable. He's a POS, always has been and always will be.

The only people worse than Mike Vick are the people who still wear his disgraced jersey.

What about a Ron Mexico jersey?

Kidding aside, the man did his time. Stallworth killed a man for goodness sake. Other players in the NFL have done far worse than Vick, and people still don't get the fact that Vick was in jail for two years.

He did his time, and his crime is far less serious than some of his fellow peers. I'm not justifying animal cruelty, but he is getting it harder than players who killed other human beings...

And by the way, I have a dog.
