The Cowboys Front Office needs to send a message to any player on the fence about their commitment to the team by cutting those who show a clear lack of effort on tape. Cap be damned.

not that Im endorsing keeping Chido Im not but he isnt asking for 15 mil a year
He shouldn’t. Although Byron didn’t get maybe turnovers. He was solid and hardly got beat down the field. Chido gets beat every way but up or down.

Yes both players have been terrible and have been exposed. You take away the contracts and Jaylon would be a solid strong side linebacker. Zeke can’t catch, fumbles, and has no wiggle. What are you going to do with that. This is not 2016 Zeke.
Respectfully sir...Zeke could play blindfolded and be a better football player than Jaylon has ever been in the NFL!

This. If not the bench is always a good reminder.

That's what I was about to say. You can't afford to cut Jaylon today, but you can't afford NOT to bench him and play Joe Thomas. Forget appearances and focus on production.

Designate Smith as one of your post June 1st cuts when you can next year. Admit the contract was a huge mistake.

you are correct and i would have rather paid him than Zeke or Jaylon but he wasn't worth what he got. Hindsight is 20/20

MM is a fraud, after 3-4 games #54 would've been benched by ANY competent HC.

Yet, you still think that a coach has a real say in Jerry's World. LOL. Not happening. Like the players, MM is here for a check.

Would be a step in the right direction for this team, but, I'll believe it when I see it. This defense needs a good shake-up.

He made the probowl the year he got the contract and it was a favorable contract. Im sorry but there will be teams that will be interested. Honestly he may even be better for it as well with a move.

Yeah he made the Pro-bowl as like a 5th alternate and it wasn't because of his play. He was terrible in 2019...He's been a terrible player since signing that contract. One of the worst linebackers in the league.

We didn’t keep Byron why chido? He isn’t nearly the corner Jones is.

You don't have to sell me on that. But he'd be much cheaper to keep. We'll see what he does when he returns. I'm not even sure if he's much of an upgrade to our rookie.

If that is true...which its not....that means he was the 5th or 6th best at his position...right? He was next in line. A lot of Cowboys fans hate to give credit to their own players but Jaylon didn't pick himself to be next in line.

He was in the probowl just a year ago and his contract can actually be viewed as a deal by other teams. We as fans forget that Jerry was proud of the team friendly deal that Jaylon signed because it was a deal.
Great so trade him. He’s garbage.

At this point maybe they are hoping him seeing others cut wakes him up.

I dont think its effort though.

Although he has shown the ability to play in the past.

He is one pure unlikable enigma.

Unless I get a good pick for him then I would keep him one more year. By next year we will have a different Defense. This one is broke. He is in on more tackles then he should be. Others aren’t doing well either. Even LVE. With his collar bone injury I think he rushed back but for no real reason.
