I understand all that and I would agree had he said it straight forward as himself. He was doing a character though which I agree is foolish on his part to say bounty and hurt a player....but again he was doing a bit.
Very short sighted on his and 97.5's part though. They could have not posted the podcast and none of this would have ever happened.
The problem is that 99% of the people who heard about the incident didn't hear the show. They heard about the incident on Twitter or Facebook or one of the billion NFL blogs and message boards that clutter the net. All they know is, "Baldinger says the Eagles should put a bounty on Zeke Elliot." I have no sympathy for the idiot. I actually love the irony of a media member being the victim of a non-story getting blown out of proportion.
