Reggie was in a league of his own. I've never seen another person just swat 300+ pound lineman out of the way to get to the QB. Poor Erik Williams was a victim on many occasions. :laugh2:

Erik Williams use to OWN Reggie White... They invented the Erik Williams rule primarily because White was getting abused by him. I never saw frsutration on the face of White like when he would have to go against EW.. Hell, if it weren't for the injury Erik WIlliams suffered, who knows how dominant he could have been...

I'm not sure if he has a vote or not (I doubt if he does), but the idea of Harrison being DPOTY is not far-fetched in the least bit.

I agree that it's not far-fetched. He's certainly Ware's main competition. But the poster I was referring to constantly makes the claim that Harrison is the front-runner and no one but Cowboys fans think Ware is in the running.

This was true from 1992(Williams' 2nd season) on to when Reggie played for GB.

Nobody ever came close to handling White, let alone dominate him til our Erik Williams did.
Had he not had the car accident, he'd be up for the HOF with Emmitt and Larry Allen.

Reggie is the best I ever saw and I've seen Harvey, Deacon, and Bruce as well. No one combined his pure power with his kind of speed and size.

I will say this though. None of them could have played OLB in a 3-4 and covered receivers.

I think Decon was the best Hos but Reggie would certainly be on that short list.

I take it you haven't seen Ware play very much.

If you had offered every general manager either Ware or Harrison to play in last week's game only, I guarantee you at least 31 would have taken Ware. The Steelers' GM might have taken Harrison because he's been in their system, but make the Steelers GM pick one to play for another team against the Ravens, and he would have picked Ware, too.

That's an interesting way of putting it that I have never heard before. I don't believe any GM, not even the Steelers GM, would take Harrison over Ware and that isn't a slight to Harrison. He is a good player. Ware may be the best in the NFL.
