Do lineman typically get many concussions from hitting someone out of a 3 point stance?.
Absolutely not. There's just not enough room to generate that much force. D-linemen are too busy using their hands to try to get away from O-linemen and O-linemen are too busy using their hands trying to catch the D-linemen, on most plays.
As a matter of fact, one of Charles Haley annedocts proves the complete opposite. His story goes that when he was a rookie, or 2nd year player, he was playing against the Rams when he lined as a DE with his hand on the ground ( 3 point stance ). The ball was snapped and he went straight at Jackie Slater, the Rams All Pro LT. As he was about to push Jackie back Haley said that, Slater, who was on a 2 point stance before the ball snapped, headbutted him so hard that he ( Haley ) " saw Jesus ".. Erick Williams used to do the same thing.
THOSE plays are the more likely to cause concussions and they come from a TWO point stance.
This people are grasping at straws.
