NFLN: Lions get permission to speak with Garrett

Lion Management: So, Jason, what sort of vision do you see yourself bringing to Detroit?

Garrett: Well, let me start by taking you into how I have won 18-and-counting straight Super Bowls in Madden. ....

I was thinking TECMO BOWL myself!!!!

I didn't say it justifies it. I still think the guy is our next Head Coach and I don't want to lose him. Id rather fire Wade than let Garrett go to Detroit, and I'm not thinking Wade should be fired.

so make Garrett HC now?

you must be joking

when you can't see anything cause you're running around going WAH, you tend to overlook what's there cause you're busy putting what you need there...there.

I'm saying it really doesn't matter who we fire

we've already wasted 2 years, what the hell

but if he goes for greater glory in Detroit, good riddance

1st year was good. 2nd year he showed he's got some learning to do.

again, garrett is a long term project. you going "we gave him 2 years!!!" kinda proves my point about too many soft fans.

It is a tough call.

I'm not crazy about continuing this on-the-job training opportunity for Garrett, but on the other hand, I hate to think how things might have turned out had an impatient Murchison fired a young Tom Landry.

I think it all comes down to how much potential you see in RJ.

I ignored that disclaimer because it was weak

the only way to stop Garrett from going to Detroit is to fire Wade, which is what you would be 100% down with

don't try to twist it

if you get a big cut, do you just go on with your day

or do you stop and recognize that there is a problem?

I'm tired of patiently waiting for things to turn around, but whatever, everything is fine

It must. I couldn't have been clearer.

time to go "gosh you're right all must be changed!' and just nod at the children.

i don't look at one event to guide me.

till you get that i waste my time on answering your question.

I'm thinking this would be bad news for us if Garret left.

After reading about how WP didn't have the team practice in pads all week and then not putting them through even a walk through, it makes me think that Garret didn't have the confidence to really open up the offense. It also makes me wonder how many times this year we missed the opportunity to practice like we should and get RW11 involved and continuity down with romo.

I'm not willing to hang this on Garret as mch as I was 24 hours ago.

Wade, I'm willing to hang it on. That is his deal.

I'm with Hos, I'd much rather can Phillips than to let Garret walk.
