I can't believe the Lions want to regress on Offense by hiring Garrett. Wasn't 0-16 bad enough?

This season is a microcosm of what's been broken about this franchise for so long though. I think the grander scheme of things, in addition to the highly disappointing nature of this singular season, is what adds to the emotion we're all feeling right now.

Look at this season as just one year and, yeah, it was a rough year. Could have been better, could have been worse.

But step back and realize we've been saying this for 12 years, and how historically bad our December record over this stretch has been, and I begin to cringe.

I don't like it when I see the Cowboys' playoff/December records over the last 12 years compared to franchises like Arizona, Detroit and New Orleans. Yet that's the class we're in right now. Sure, we've racked up more regular season wins I'd imagine, but we're reaching some pretty historically poor marks.

but last year we did show some promsie;. garrett was the hot commidity. he's not this year and yes, that sucks.

but to go again for the hot commidity is stupid. we've got to see it through and that takes times. and patience.

I can respect the patience to see Garrett through.

But you hit on the greater point. Yes, watching this franchise is like whining of beaches made of sand or whatever. I used to always back Jerry and have a rosy attitude, but I now feel beaten down as a fan.

I'm not leaving as a fan, bolting to New York or anything like that. It's not what fans do. But while I once hated the Negative Nancy attitude, I just feel almost trapped in a tight space with the way this team is going right now.

I just hope, pray that Jerry's plan can finally work. It's the only way out. He's not changing and he's not leaving, so we're just going to have to find a way to win with prima-donna players, undermined coaches and an owner who wants our team in the spotlight at all times, even when that means adding unneeded pressure at critical junctures of the season.

Maybe it'll come together. I never thought I'd see the day where Kevin Garnett or Ray Allen would be NBA champions.

idk, but even mentioning that Jason Garrett should be an HC, now or in the future is, well, not good, he should stick around as OC for awhile under Norv Turner's direction, or working with him at least

That is what I just dont get. If we keep the same players and the same coaches, then why should we expect a totally different result?
