NFLN: Lions get permission to speak with Garrett

Don't forget that Ray Lewis came out and said how simple it was to figure out the Dallas scheme while watching game film.

In the past 2 weeks, we have had our QB and our #1 wideout come out and say that the scheme is the problem, and there are still people queing up to mention the 'glory days' of 2007. Unbelievable.

and there are still people who won't provide stats to back up their "points of contention".

Yep. "It took us 3 quarters to figure out what they were doing on defense"-Tony Romo

They exposed something we do fundamentally offensively

“Scheme is a major part of it that the normal fan or writer doesn't understand,” Romo said. “If you're put in a really good situation, it really allows your team to be successful a lot. That's why I think some games, it's easy to say, ‘Well, he didn't play good.' A lot of it is scheme.”

“I just feel with the weapons on this team, we just need more opportunities,” said Owens, who finished with six catches for 103 yards but was a nonfactor. “There needs to be some changes in regard to getting some guys involved, putting guys in position to win. It all starts with the guys calling the plays

Whatever are we going to do without this guy?

Do you know something we don't? Seriously, Garrett has done nothing of significance with this offense except pad stats against weaker teams. Enlighten us please.

just like Sparano Garrett needs to get out of here so he can be successful

You will miss him. Not today, but next year. He will get better and it might be somewhere else.

Sad but it is true.

He wont take the lions job, his brother john coached in cincy, there is no way he takes a job knowing it is similar.

he may get better, it could be next year

or it could be 5 years down the road

we don't have that kind of time

I wouldn't be too enthused about this news. If Garrett leaves, Ray Sherman will be the new OC here. It took all of one year for the Steelers to run him out of town when he ruined their offense.
