I can't believe anyone actually claims Roy is a dirty player. A dirty player takes cheap shots. I think too many opposing fans accuse Roy of being dirty because he hits so hard. There is a difference.

I put the challenge out last night and I issue it yet again. Find me an NFL Team or player accusing him of dirty play. Even the guys whom he hurt.

Without that all you're doing is whining because he hits hard. Plain and simple. You think he should take it easy on your players. Sorry, that isn't football. Better to stick with jacks or tiddlywinks, maybe hopscotch for the more daring among you.

Leave football to the men and women who can stomach it.

Oh, and spitting on someone is beyond dirty. Don't believe it, go outside and spit in someone's face and see how they react or let them spit on you and see how it feels. An absolutely stupid assertion.

I still don't get how Roy is a dirty player - but Sean is not.

Roy hits people so hard he hurts them.

Sean apparently isn't dirty, though - even though he horse collars, hits people late, in vulnerable situations, and spits on people. (The video is indisputable)

But because he apparently isn't capable of hitting people as hard as Roy, Roy gets the dirty label.

Oh well....

Here's one example of RW being dirty: The TO injury. You can see how he could've just went for a normal tackle but instead he grabs on to his jersey, sets himself in perfect position, then DRAGS TO down using his body weight. IMO he wouldnt have done this if he wasnt trying to injure TO. That is what I like to call a dirty play. And its not like he hit TO so hard that TO got injured. He played dirty in order to injure TO.

Yet TO didn't think it was dirty and when the NFL outlawed the horse collar tackle he wasn't in favor of it.

Hmm.

It's football, not baton twirling. I can't believe anyone claiming to be a football fan is in favor of sissy rules.

And you can read his mind - see his intent?

I'm going to ask it again, and I'll try to use SMALL words, although I doubt I will get an answer the 8th time.....

If Sean Taylor does all these things (horse-collar, late-hits, spitting) is he or is he not a dirty player?

And please - save the BS where you read the players mind, and pretend to know that these players are intending to injure someone.

Just answer the question.

If Sean Taylor does all these things (horse-collar, late-hits, spitting) is he or is he not a dirty player?

"Wait a minute...Sean Taylor does not horse collar, hit late, or spit on other players! Oh, thats right it is on video. But, but, but that is different."

and I know why - and you know why - and we all know why - and I doubt we can expect an honest answer, without a load of BS runaround.

Skinsboy set the criteria. I'm just interested as to whether or not the criteria applies to those wearing the ketchup and mustard.

About TO. No, I am not going to judge him on his past transgressions. I know they happened and they could happen again. Never said TO was classy dude. I did say I am going to let him have a fresh start here in Dallas. What am I to do now that he is a Cowboy? Quit being a Cowboy fan? Hope he fails? Hope he destroys the team? Hope the Cowboys suck? I am not a fly by night Cowboy fan. I am with Cowboys for better or worse if you will. I have my eyes on TO, but since I really do not care about the 49ers or Eagles it does not bother me much that he was a pain their rear end.

About Michael Irvin. Kudos to you if you are telling the truth. I have never met a Skins fan yet who likes Irvin, but maybe you are a first. Usually Michael Irvin is exhibit A amongst Skins fans when disrespecting the Cowboys organization.

About ST. First of all I dont care where he grew up. Pulling a gun on somebody is serious business. The bottom line on ST is that he has a bit of negative history

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-Commanders-taylor&prov=ap&type=lgns

To deny that ST has been a bit of a trouble maker for the Skins organization is naive at best. Gibbs did not say he had a issue, he said a lot of personal issues like the ones I pointed out to you earlier. Coach Gibbs is ready to give ST a fresh start, much like I am giving TO a fresh start.

Of course you're a Cowboys fan and naturally, would want TO to succeed. But what I think is messed up is the fact that he dissed the Dallas star multiple times(even when on the Eagles he went to the endzone star on the helmet) and the second he's available JJ goes out and signs him to a big contract.

Now I dont think that signing him was a good idea but giving him the large contract was so he cant complain about that. I also think that Parcells did not want TO but had no choice because of JJ. What made me lose a lot of respect for Cowboys fans is the fact that when you guys signed TO, the Cowboys sold like 10,000 TO jerseys immediately!

I also NEVER said that ST wasnt a trouble maker for the Skins organization. Of course he has been. He is young though and continuing to mature.

I would also like to add that he ALLEGEDLY pulled a gun on some guy. Not to mention that the guy who accused of ST of pulling the gun IS a criminal with a record. He also was arrested last year for stealing another set of ATVs! What did the DA do? They dropped the charges! The case was blown WAY out of proportion because the prosecuting lawyer AKA DJ Dirty Sanchez was using it to promote himself. Not to mention that Taylor's car was shot at and so was his friend's house in a drive by. The cops never found the shooters . Also, the person who accused Taylor of pulling a gun on him is now suing Taylor for $15000. Big shocker there!

How TO became a Cowboy to me at this point is not relevant. Bottom line he is a Cowboy. I do not own a TO jersey if that makes you happy.

I would bet my last dollar that had TO been signed by Danny boy that thousands of jerseys would have been sold as well. That is just the way it is. TO has his fans. Dallas or any of the 31 other teams are no different.

Now, answer Superpunks question about ST horse collaring, hitting late and spitting.

If you are going to come on a Cowboys board and talk smack be prepared to back it up and answer a straight forward question when asked.

I'm not in favor of plays that are done specifically to injure a player. I've played football before and the players that pulled people down by their jerseys on purpose were looked down upon. IMO its ok when you're chasing a player and in desperation you reach out with your hand and grab whatever you can to stop that player. Its dirty the way RW intentionally grabs on to a player, gets himself into perfect position and then DRAG the player down using his body weight. RW also said that even if they make the horse collar play illegal, he'll still continue to use it. I'm sorry but I dont have respect for a player that plays dirty like that.

Sean Taylor DOES NOT intentionally horse-collar people. The only late-hits I've seen him make are against TO because TO was asking for it. The funny thing is Taylor ran his shoulder right into TO's face and TO just walked away. Talk about putting fear in WRs. Not just any WR. One of the best and most physical ones!

So basically what you are saying is that you have an excuse for everything ST has done and RW you are ready to crucify. That is basically what it amounts to is it not? I mean be honest here.

Tackles and hits are not done specifically to injure a player. I played too, at a higher level than you and no players do not look down on the horse collar tackle. Chop blocks, yeah they do. I'll gladly give you the usernames of every other guy on here that I know who played if you want to ask them if I'm talking out of my hind quarters. In juries happen. We as players all understand (or understood) that.

Your claim he is trying to hurt people is ridiculous. Period. You would be advised to drop it because trust me you haven't got the ammo or the patience to withstand the barrage that will come your way if you continue to take this stance. It's football. If you want a politically correct version of it write your Senator, but don't try to sell it here.

The horse collar tackle isn't dirty, and never has been. You're just too tender. Sorry, that's just a fact.

I had a nice conversation with you last night via PM. I appreciate that. If you did too, great. If not, oh well.

What I say now isn't meant to insult you, so if you are, I don't know what to tell you.

You are, hands down, without a doubt, the biggest homer I have ever come across for any team in 36 years of being a football fan on all levels.

I have never seen such blatant hypocrisy and apologetic attitude for players on your own team and condescending opinions with no facts to back it up for players outside your team. You're a hypocrite.

For the record, Sean Taylor using the horse collar tackle does NOT make him a dirty player. It is part of the game. So save me the drama queen finger pointing back because the stereotype will not fit.

Bingo.

But as yazzy-boy sits back in his 21 jersey on sunday's, and ridicules the games hardest hitter for being a dirty player - none of this matters. He claims to know Roy Williams' intent when he tackles a player - somehow when he reads Taylor's mind, the outcome is different.

Honestly, I'm shocked.

No I dont excuse everything Taylor does. What he did against TB was absolutely stupid. He was the most important player on our defense and he got himself kicked out at the most important time. He should not have gone after the dude who stole his ATVs. He should've let the cops handle it. He should have called back Joe Gibbs. Taylor also at times has taken bad angles and given up big plays because of it. He also bit on the flea flicker against Dallas which Terry Glenn scored a TD. I'm not excusing none of those.

RW has been a model citizen off of the field. I just dont appreciate the cheap plays he enjoys making so much(yes he does enjoy it that is why he said that he would still continue to horse collar even if they made it illegal).
