Nice Win, but about Brandon Carr

Y'all realize the CBs looked worse tonight because we were blitzing, right?

Blitzing is a two-edged sword. When you send an extra guy to get to the QB, you've got one less helping keep everyone covered in the back. If the blitz doesn't get there, you're going to see lots of passes completed. Our blitz didn't get there near enough.

Your CBs are serviceable, but you need someone, or two someones, up front who can collapse that pocket and get to the QB without help. You don't have that.

Despite how bad it looked, the game plan worked. If the Vikings could have beat us, they would have.

I'm going to just enjoy the win a few days and then root like crazy for the Giants to lose this week.

The D played much better than theyre giving credit for. They played better than the Lions D played Minny on Tday. Not to mention Hitchens had an INT called back bc of Scandrick and Jones dropped an easy INT. How many times did the Vikings get past the Dallas 20 yard line? Not much

We have to do something about him. Dude is complete trash.

I fear if we face Washington or Falcons in the playoffs, we are doomed, mainly because of the D, and he is a big part of it.
Him and Lawrence are just awful. I don't understand how Lawrence still has zero sacks and he supposed to be a professional passrusher

I'm by no means a Carr fan, but this defensive backfield will always look pedestrian until they can get consistent pressure up front. The D-line had some moments last night, but that was about the worst offensive line in the NFL and they should have been living in the backfield.

I think Carr has been pretty damn solid this year. I think he's had a decent bounce back year. I think this defense is slightly better than the '14 team. Save the last TD drive, the D stepped up big all game. Opponent aside, pressure was better.. Hitch and Jones should have had int's ...

Every damn team gives up points...meaning cornerbacks get burned. Even Seattle is giving up an avg of 17 points per game...Dallas about 19 after tonight. I personally think the play of the secondary is much improved...as evidenced by it's red-zone performance in the last two games. Hard to stop a quarterback that is dumping the ball off in 2.5 seconds on average.. 15 points on a night where the offense lost the time of possession by seven minutes and gave Minnesota the ball in the redzone (leading to a FG)...you have to take it and move on.

But the thing is, the Cowboys aren't even giving up points. They are exceeding expectations. ITs not pretty and that's why people are upset. They want interceptions and sacks. Hey, I do to. But we're not getting it but we are getting some key stops and limiting teams to around 20 points.

Negative: He gives up a lot of completions.
Positive Spin: He makes lots of tackles!

I thought the defense played well only gave up 5.5 yards per attempt. The Vikings gave up 7.7 ypa.

If the Cowboys only give up 5.5 yards per attempt the rest of the season you can give the SB trophy to them right now.

I really don't understand how Carr is the topic of discussion after last night. He truly was solid last night and he's the least of my concern on defense. He's been probably the most consistent.

why single him out? He isn't the only one man. DLaw is horrific up front. Lee is really only guy playing at a high level. Church was very good tonight too. But we need Mo back...badly.

BTW: Collins was very good at DT too. VERY good.

DLaw horrible? Just saw Broddous scout's note saying DLaw had 9 QB pressures in this game alone and he was MVP for the DL.
