I should've quoted the one thing I read about not making this a randy gregory bash thread. That is where I stemmed my post from. You talk about assuming when you assumed I was quoting you. Lol! If you missed that then that's you. This was meant to be a general approach.

Von Miller had his demons as well. He has a problem and is getting help. Whether it was a wasted pick or not is too early to tell. But you can't ignore that value at that point in the draft.

Further bipolar is not biomechanically understood. Like many MH disorders they are a collection of symptoms. While he disagrees with the diagnosis, it's safe to assume he exhibits several bipolar symptoms like the racing thoughts he has admitted to.

Bottomline is that he exhibits mental illness symptoms and should be viewed with compassion instead of the puritan punitive nonsense spouted by such as yourself.

I've worked in criminal justice for 15 years now. I can tell you that without a doubt there are people addicted to pot. It is different than a physical addiction like cocaine or heroin. They use it for self medication of mental issues of all sorts. There are several people who go off the prescribed medication because they feel it slows them down. So they smoke pot to give them a medium in between manic swings. So while not physically addictive they can be very highly addicted do to thier mental stability and self medication. I would bet that he felt slowed after last season and was looking for an edge in training so he decided to self medicate.

Law enforcement makes you biased not objective. Your profession is dependent on the drug war and it's why the FOP push back against science on the regular.

Addiction is classified by several factors that pot just doesn't meet. It is what it is. Self medication implies they have a disorder and does not imply addiction. Addicts feed their addiction.
