LOL. Good metrics.
He was bad last year too. This franchise has had a weird obsession with him for two offseasons now. They brought him in after the 2015 season and tried to sign him then too. He smells like a Marinelli special - Rod fell in love with him for some bizarre reason and kept trying to bring him in.
They screwed up. It's OK to just admit that, at times, this organization makes really peculiar moves. Pretty much every franchise does.
I have no problems with criticizing bad moves made by the franchise. I've done it on numerous occasions and will continue to do so. Just like I criticized our unwillingness to sign a veteran MIKE that can start right away so we don't have to rely on Hitchens and Jaylon to play the spot.
The problem is, as another poster described, is people like yourself keep thinking about how badly Dez owned him a couple of years ago and keep that out of your head.
Carroll played well against the Giants, then got injured against the Broncos and hasn't played since. He isn't a costly cut, and Lewis has shown he's ready to start in this league and Awuzie shows promise as well. He's been out for over 3 weeks with a concussion and will turn 31 years old, soon. No sense in keeping him.
And Carroll isn't an issue with the defense's woes. Blame that on Crawford, M. Collins (who everybody lauded 2 weeks ago when I wasn't), Jaylon and Heath.
