RELEASED Nolan Carroll Released

What conspiracy theory?

They went cheap at CB and found likely one of worst CBs they could find in that price range. They had a weird obsession with a mediocre to bad CB because they tried to sign him in 2015 as well.

It's usually the simplest answer. They thought they were smart bringing in Carroll on the cheap and thinking he could play. He couldn't. They figured might as well admit their mistake and cut their losses now.

They get these for all kinds of weird players. I have to think it's Rod, based on the Hayden years.

Offseason grade officially an F.

Charlton fail
Awuzie fail
Switzer fail
Caroll fail
Heath fail

Not sure I can call Awuzie a fail. He got hurt but when he's been out and practice reviews have suggested the kid can play.

So I give the offseason a D. LOL.

They need to quit bottom feeding during free agency, buy quality or just draft them
? thats EXACTLY what they did
he was only a person to put out there if the rookies drafted to start could not
they had hamstring issues
both of them
what do you people want? always complaining
he was cheap vet insurance just like Bene and nothing more
now rookies are getting healthy so he served his purpose
but please, complain

What I wanted?

A better vet CB than Nolan Carroll. I don't think that's a really ridiculous thing to ask, do you? If you bring in a better vet CB, maybe you don't have to rush Awuzie back week after week to watch him hurt his hamstring again and again. Maybe with a better vet CB, you can split more time with Brown while he struggles, which he's clearly doing.

I didn't realize that vet CB had to equal a crappy one.

I'm neither surprised nor disappointed by this news.
Couldn't understand the signing in the first place. It seems for every good move we make there is a bad one to counter it.
Wait this could all be part of the grand keep us at 8-8 conspiracy.

I was baffled as to why they signed him to the contract they did in the first place. He wasn't good in Philly, yet they give him a 3 year contract?

Doubt he cares to come out of retirement unless he gets paid. And, he isn't the Revis Island corner any more.

He's flotsam floating around, carried by the seas of age. No one wants him now.

They had to decide to continue to overpay Carr and Claiborne or go young

They went young and signed Carroll as a band-aid but the young guys are ready to play

They invested this whole draft to D after spending a 1st on BJones and hitting a HR with ABrown

How many more starters do we need with ABrown, Scandrick, Lewis, Chito????

Missing Lee for 2 weeks and Hitchens for 4 weeks had a much bigger impact

A quality starter

quality? seriously?

So which random bum takes his spot but is never active?

And the eagles will resign him later in the season before they play the cowboys
