I know some people are blaming Prescott, but I don't see it that way. It all came down to the 4th quarter. They were 14 points up in the 4th quarter and you allow one of the best in the game to split your cheeks, down the middle of the field.

Not cool. I felt like we could have had this team if we had unloaded Zeke on them to wear the defense down. And it was really the defense that put the Packers back in it.

Dallas missed Zeke this game. More than even I would have imagined. But I can say without a doubt that the Cowboys missed Zeke Elliot today.
Are u related to Zeke? Or just high?

Davis was stepping up fine honestly - they just had to give him the ball.

I do find it interesting that people would rather lose without Zeke than win with him just so they can be "right." Zeke is a good football player.. Perhaps no longer a GREAT football player but that he is a good one is not really up for debate. You can never have too many good football players on your team and I no doubt that having a bruiser like Zeke in yesterday's game would have made a difference when it came to the Packers defense. Would it have been enough? Who knows? But did anyone notice the conspicuous absence of the coveted "splash" plays from Pollard now that he was being asked to be "the guy" for 20 carries? Amazing how that works isn't it? To his credit he ran inside and outside just fine.. But his slippery style just does not exact the same toll on the defense as Zeke's style does. Nobody is making business decisions when they see Pollard coming at them in the 4th quarter. That's not meant as a knock on him.. It's just pointing out a fact.

Again I'm not going to sit here and say we would have won with Zeke in the lineup.. especially if he's not 100%.. But I always think adding good players to your lineup increases your chances of winning. As such I am always in favor of it.

Pollard doesn’t rip off a 50 yarder for once and you act as if he’s failed.

Zeke has just five runs of 40+ yards IN HIS CAREER (1,750+ carries) and you’re lamenting that we aren’t treating him right.

Shuddup.

(sigh) did you borrow the " wore down defense " quote from a previous posted thread ?

This is exactly what I'm saying.

I have given up trying to get these anti-Zeke trolls to admit the team is better with him than without.. Right now they're .500 without him. If that makes people happy then they're simply not Cowboys fan so to hell wit 'em.

Defense gets paid to do their damn job. They blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead, not the offense.

Thanks man.. It boggles the mind some of the crap these people are willing to post. I mean starting a thread about the greatness of Tony Pollard after a loss? Who does that? As I said some of these folks will not allow themselves to appreciate what Zeke does for this team so they're really not worth "discussing" with. I just hope dude comes back healthy.. If he's in the lineup I think we have enough to smite the Vikings. But their coach is DEFINITELY going to find out if we have fixed our run defense issues with Cook and not turn things over to Cousins unless he absolutely is forced to. Then again if we have to start Bland and Joseph at corner opposite Diggs they'd be stupid not to try and light up the sky on us too. But Cousins aint Rodgers..

The only thing Zeke does is take carries away from 2 backs who played a good game. You can’t really believe this!

While we have Zeke, we need to run him. Because it's still not fun to tackle him. A good 3 hard yards is always good. Especially in the 4th
