This could go on for several more pages. I’m not going waste anymore time with fans who want to move on from Dak. Mark my words the team won’t be moving on from him.
No, they won't. But as the lingering injury issues on the Oline get worse and their production starts to suffer he will to be pressured much more than he is now. IMO at that point we will wish we had.

Is he a serviceable QB? Sure. But I think all of the pieces around him are elevating him, not the other way around. And it is a cyclical league.

If you put Dak on those Miami teams Tannehill was on none of us would even know who he is by now.

If Miami didn’t think Ryan Tannehill was part of the problem they wouldn’t have moved on from him and they wouldn’t have traded a second round pick for Josh Rosen. Tannehill wasn’t consistent in Miami and he will eventually flame out with Tennessee.

Serious question, if Fitzpatrick traded places with dak for 2 years, who would be better?

Dak would be better because he’s more consistent. Ryan Fitzpatrick has played with 7 different teams because it’s either feast or famine with him. It’s either Fitzmagic or Fitztragic. He can play as good as any QB in the league for stretches then his game falls apart which is why he continues to bounce around the league.

I think your assessment is on the money. Looking at last 6 games...two good ones on a 2-4 record. So,there’s reason to not like it. Although I think they crashed in NYJ,and have been rolling along with a wobbly wheel since,it wasn’t a stable feeling to me after. The in house stuff ...that’s when that caught fire. Not sure new situation improves things,or Dak just stays like this for most part. Red zone ...I think he can fix it,or to more normal levels. Overthrowing Austin in center filed alone or behind guys who need to stop stride to catch? I think that part stays.

how many times has he had a top 3 running game and a top 3 line? He didnt have in this year. He didnt have it with the Bucs or jets either.
Dak had better weapons this year.

Let me get this straight, you would rather have Ryan Fitzpatrick instead of Dak? Talk about living in the moment. Lol

Dak hasn't exactly been a picture of consistency here, and he is on a much, much better team than those Miami squads. Even taking coaching into account.

Heck TN isn't even that talented a roster, and they are playing next week and we are not.

Then start naming some available QBs out there you would rather have in place of Dak and let’s look back at their careers. Let’s see how many wins they have and how clutch they’ve been.

He's not realistic...

Dak has been pretty consistent or he wouldn’t be up for a huge contract extension.

All some of you did in previous seasons is complain about his lack of production and now that he’s producing you complain that it’s inflated. lol I have other things I want to do this evening I’m done. I’ll let you and the rest continue to bash him and talk about all the castoffs you’d rather have to replace him.
Who is this bogey man "some of you" you speak of? Was it the person you quoted? If it wasn't no need for that lazy some complained about his stats. The stats are inflated when you're top 2/3 in yards when behind in games. I'm pretty sure we didn't win any of them and the GB and Chi games definitely were some stat padding games. Its ok to like Dak because he says sounds good talk like a mlm scammer but he's not that good as a QB. If you want him for your daughter cool but as a football player he's Alex Smith Jr and we should (we won't so save your faux cool reply) do him like they did his football daddy in KC. If we mess up at least we tried as long as they do the proper due diligence

Tony Romo worked on his game each off season. Even at the end there was something he was always working on in the off season.
Yeah that's cool and all but Romo looked mainly the same after awhile. It wasn't no super jump between his 4 year starting and 8th. Even if he did that's still not the norm for most sports players or most people in general.

4 years in and he can't even reliably connect on a basic crossing route.

No, there's a lot of things, many of them quite positive, you can say about Dak Prescott. "Consistent" is not one of them.

Which is why I wouldn't pay him that huge contract extension.

Mitch and Dak suck.. so does Goff.. not sure other teams deciding to stick with garbage QBs should dictate what the Cowboys do.. if Bears had a legit QB, they could have won the SB last year.
People kill me with that crazy logic of they did it so we should too. Dak should get 35+ Million because the Rams and Eagles made mistakes. Whatever happened to the line many parents have used of if they jump off a bridge are you going to jump too?

I think he looked better this year than in previous years when it came to putting up stats. But in previous years, he was better in the clutch. HE has a lot a lot of room for improvement. I think he really needs to improve presnap and in the redzone. He was mediocre in the redzone. Great qbs are really good in the redzone no matter who they play. He also needs to get more consistent with his mechanics and that'll stop him from throwing behind the receiver.
Yeah he only threw 4 TD today. Horrible lol

The dilemma of not paying him is struggling to find a QB the next decade. Finding better than him would be a difficult task.

Dak Prescott is like Mark Brunell.
Solid, but not spectacular.
Can win a game for you, but can also lose a game for you.
Just your middle of the road starting NFL QB.

I would tag him and try. At some point this Oline is not going to be a top 5 unit anymore and Zeke is going to get beat down a la Murray. They won't be able to carry him forever and there are too many holes on the defense now to keep dumping resources into the offense year after year.

I totally get the opinion that a bus driver+ is fine. But while decent not great QBs have won SBs, they haven't won a lot them, and are never involved with *sustained* success. I don't think Dak is going to mentioned in the same breath with Aikman anytime down the road.

FWIW I think he has many of the intangibles. But I also see why he dropped to the 4th round too.
