I think they traded him because they got more for him now than they ever would and the future is Wentz. They were never going to stay with Bradford after trading up for Wentz.

This is definitely the case. They jumped on the opportunity to get the most they possibly could out of Bradford.

Although I will say, Eagles fans should have some concern about their expensive rookie getting ruined by being thrown to the wolves to run their putrid offense.

I think they'd have preferred a year of Wentz watching Bradford but that deal was a no brainer.

I've seen -4 opening. Wonder where the money will drive it. -4 seems about right to me although nothing would surprise me in this game. Turnovers will decide IMO.
NY is -1 currently . Can't see it moving past 3 or all the money will go on Dallas as the dog

Exactly, when some idiot backs a truck full of money up to your house to buy your used washing machine, you take it even if it means washing by hand for a little while.
Eagles still have Chase Daniels too who they paid like 6-8 million to sit on the bench . He'll most likely start?

Word is if the rookie is cleared to play (rib injury) he'll start.

Wow. I'm actually surprised at that. He didn't look good before he got hurt, he hasn't done much since, how much better do they expect him to be when he comes back?

No doubt, but I wonder why they don't let the rookie sit behind Chase for a year. The season is clearly a throwaway for Philly, and I'd think throwing the small town kid to the wolves will do more bad than good. I guess the Eagles disagree...hopefully whatever decision they make ends up being the wrong one regardless!

I've followed Chase since he was at local Southlake High School winning state championships then leading Missouri to bowl games. He's one of the highest paid backups in NFL. Well besides Kappy now . Ha!

I have no idea. It makes no sense to me. Granted this is just what I'm hearing from Eagles fans I'm friends with (Pennsylvania resident here).

Kind of like we wanted Dak to sit this season. Things change so you have to go along with it. BTW how did they let Chip take the dude's GM job for a year? As much as I don't like praising anything Eagle related, he's got my vote for exec of the year.

Funny what a spectacular summer Dak had against those vanilla defenses.

BTW - The Giant starters when playing those same vanilla defenses?

0 PTS vs Miami
0 PTS vs Buffalo
0 PTS vs Jets - never even crossed midfield & Eli played into the 3rd quarter hoping they could get a spark..

Their offensive line is without question the worst in the NFL and while the writer might not be worried, the fans, coaches and front office are.

I believe at this time next Sunday I will be enjoying a cold beer while celebrating our week 1 victory.

I don't think he's that good anymore, but whatever. His presence certainly didn't propel them to the playoffs last year. Add that their offense looked terrible in the preseason (vanilla or not).
If for my life I needed a qb to win me one game tomorrow..i'm taking Eli over Dak. And that's the point of the dismissal of the Cowboys.

their offensive line is not by any means the worst in the league. They are an average group and should have no problem blocking our ends sunday.
