I am in the likely not campaign. He'll ignore the red flags blaring all season when we faced a quality team and instead convince himself the games where we were beating up bad teams is the real Cowboys. As has been noted by others, McCarthy is in the last year of his deal and Jerry has done this twice before with Garrett, believing that maybe that last year will incentivize the HC into doing his best work. Plus Jerry is probably loathe to pay two HCs because he probably views that as a failure and a blight against him and his great football acumen.

Here's the thing, everyone is wanting Bill B or Harbaugh, no one worth anything is willing to work for the power hungry Jones. They would have to give him full control over personnel.

The is zero chance he makes a change. He already said he likes the improvement of the team and would see how the playoffs go as far as extending McCarthy.

Jerry always thinks he is 1 or 2 players away. He stood by Garrett even after it is obvious he could not coach. The normal move for Jerruh is to keep it going and just hope one of his work out FA can get them over the hump.

That being said, I think he cans Mike, even though Mike isn’t the real issue, but Jerry himself is.

Bringing in a big name coach such as Belicheat, or Harbaugh is what really needs to be done.

I say 50/50 due to his comment last night about Garrett. A reporter asked him about how he kept Garrett after losses and I’m paraphrasing but Jerry basically said that didn’t work and it’s something he will look at. So that gives me some hope he goes another direction.

We have no upgrade, it's been three years, it's over. MM is an unprepared, bad clock managing guy. Not a bad OC

I don’t know how many times it will take fans here to understand that Jerry Jones does not think like a fan. He thinks like a guy who wants first and foremost to play with his toy every day any way he sees fit. And he will always look for a head coach - first and foremost - to make him feel comfortable doing what he wants to do.

Every fan who thinks “Jerry is mad” and is going to fire McCarthy doesn’t realize that’s not what he’s thinking today. He’s wondering if he can still keep Big Mac around for his comfort while hoping fans will forget by July that this even happened.

Chances JJ makes a change at HC? Doesn’t matter. Because nothing will change at the top.

Likely yes because Jerry needs to instill some excitement. So he needs a big name guy and a big name guy is out there in Bill B. Not that anything will change, I expect Bill B will replace McCarthy, he will spent a year and a half of being micromanaged by Jerry before he announces his retirement.
