Likely not. The Jones Boys are more concerned with comfort and relevance than they are about on field results and accountability.

I was for keeping Mike unless they played horrible yesterday - well we saw how that went
I figured Quinn was gone no matter what - now I'm not so sure. The zone switch was inexcusable and no adjustment was made. He might need to go - too many failures in big games

I'm firing MM - would prefer not to hire BB given his age and lack of success minus Brady, but not completely against it - I'd make a move for Harbaugh or a offensive coach not named Kellen Moore.
Let DQ go - let the new coach make that decision
Trade or cut #4 - let the new coach begin fresh. Probably gonna mean a couple down seasons but it needs to be done
I'd get a feel for what I could get for Parsons (unless BB is the hire, then he is gonna be needed in the 3/4 defensive) - if you can get a top pick this year for a QB - do it.

Release:
Dak or trade
Gallup
This alone gets your cap for 2024 ok - does hurt for 2025, but needs to be done

Rework:
Tank - adding 1 year

Extend:
Lamb

Resign:
Lewis to a reasonable deal if possible
Pollard might be cheaper than thought given his year
Smith - I know many would let him walk, but I'd see if he'd do a 2 year deal for cap purposes

Because it is Jerry Jones, likely not. He will try to use the lame duck year as incentive hoping Big Mike does his best work and brings Dallas that miracle 6th SB title.

Jerry will force tweaks in the coaching staff. Al Harris will likely be the new DC once Quinn takes another job. The OL coach and other position coaches may have new names in place, but that will be it. Honestly, if Quinn doesn't get an HC job, he would be welcomed back as well.
Jerry is too nice. Look what Lurie did in Philly 2 years after he wins SB, he fires Pederson.
Can't let MM coach his final year, that's what he did with Garrett. Needs to let him go 90% and Quinn needs to go .

Its a done deal.

Looking forward to the press conference later this week when Big Mike is cut lose.

Jerry and BillB have already spoken in private.

Negotiations will take a few days.

They will want Bill on board asap.

March will be here very soon.
Can you imagine the spoiled cry babies on this team having to deal with a coach who actually believes in discipline? It would be wonderful.

Need BB. Again what Super Bowl winning coach that has won at least 2 didnt have a great QB? Maybe Parcells with Simms and Hostetler. Walsh had Montana, Noll had Bradshaw
and BB devised those defenses that won him games.
I live in NE so have watched Patriots, he would give this team toughness which they don't have. Crazy not to take a shot at him

100% big Mike and Dan are both gone. JJ has to throw the blame somewhere. Getting rid of both after such a big blunder as this is the only option he has. There is no way he can justify what happened and still keep them on his payroll. I'm sure he is telling Dan this morning to take any position that is offered to him by another team. When will the news of Big Mike being fired be released is up to JJ...you know he wants the spotlight when its done.

Generally curious as to what CZ thinks.

- It's a certainty

- 50/50

- Likely not

I am in the likely not campaign. He'll ignore the red flags blaring all season when we faced a quality team and instead convince himself the games where we were beating up bad teams is the real Cowboys. As has been noted by others, McCarthy is in the last year of his deal and Jerry has done this twice before with Garrett, believing that maybe that last year will incentivize the HC into doing his best work. Plus Jerry is probably loathe to pay two HCs because he probably views that as a failure and a blight against him and his great football acumen.
I am for making a change and thought it was certain yesterday...losing hope that it happens though

If he was so floored as stated, it should have been this morning firing to get some of the spotlight that he loves and craves from the PO games. To make it all about the boys.

Likely not. Jerry likes his comfort zone and he’s comfortable with McCarthy and Dak. I give it 4 more years based on past behavior with Garrett.

Likely not. Jerry doesn’t like paying coaches who don’t work for him. If McCarthy is under contract he likely returns.

if not a McCarthy return, .. what are your likely options among HC candidates ..and why ?

It should be it's a certainty.

Will probably be 50/50.

In 4 tries MM has epically failed to do what he was hired for. The last one was the worst of them all.
