I think we all know Romo does not get benched. He could string several bad games together and he still won't get benched. Makes too much money, the benching would make Jerry look stupid (more stupid?) and Romo gives us the best shot. And besides all that, is their a QB for the future on this roster? I would say no.

I gotta admit though. Losses would be easier to take this year if we were going with a young QB that was our future, and if we had a head coach that I thought was legit.

For anyone who missed the game today and are just logging into the board they'll know things didn't go well when the first thing they see is an official fire Jason Garrett and Romo stinks thread.

And you coming out to post in the Romo stinks thread is a dead giveaway.

I gotta admit, usually I wouldn't watch the team next week after an effort like that, but I think it's CRUCIAL for Romo. I believe he's reached the end so it's going to be important to show from a physical standpoint that he can still get it done. I'm not as worried as much about the mental issues as that can be worked out via play calls and film watching.

as much as i hate to say it i will give him this game to knock the rust and grim off. But if he stinks it up against the titans next week then we are in for a huge hurt!!

Yeah I fear we are seeing the end.

Think this upcoming offseason is time to start looking for a successor. Love Romo but he's not our longterm option anymore. We wasted his career and it doesn't look like he's the same QB he once was.

He is exactly the same QB he has always been, brain is as dead as his arm, if not even more so.

The whole idea that Garrett would ever bench Romo is unthinkable. Can you imagine what that would do to their relationship, and then who would Red go to basketball games with in the offseason?

I don't know if it was because of his back or if he was rusty out there. Either way he barely played in pre-season so I'm not even that surprised. He is what he is. I don't think we're going anywhere with him anyway. He's not getting benched though. We have no backup QBs that could challenge him.

Bench Romo? Lol it's one game. Let the man knock the rust off.

I agree. Romo had a bad game. He was late on passes and threw into double coverage. Looked like he was pressing.

Regardless, not much went well today. Durant dropping a lob interception pretty much summed up the day. Opportunity missed to beat a team missing key guys.

Defense showed some pressure. Got a couple hits on Kaepernick. I'm more worried about the secondary. Carr is an incredibly expensive guy to play like he does. He's 10 yards off his guy on every play.

I wouldn't complain at all if they decided to rest Tony's back and start Weeden in the Seattle game.

What should be concerning to fans is that Romo cannot throw a deep ball anymore

He threw one deep ball. He had to scramble so the receiver out ran the throw. Get a grip. With that logic, Murray can't hold onto the ball anymore.

He can't throw any route. No zip or accuracy. He's done.

Ha ha ha ha never fails. The what have you done for me today poster. Bad game, get rid of him! Start the rookie! News flash: Romo was due for a bad game. Just be glad it was against a non division team.

IF YOU CANT WIN FOR ME EVERY WEEK SO I FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF BECAUSE I LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH MY TEAM....

With our luck, we'll have the number one pick and they'll both end up going back to school.
If I had a choice, I'd go with mariota. I look at winston's pudgy baby face and his overall frame and I fear he may eat his way out of the league after a few years. His frame looks like the type that will put on a lot of weight as he grows older.

Jerry was right about Manziel on Draft Day. He was the top player on the board at a need position. He should fire his son over that decision.

I would not be a fan anymore had they done something as stupid as that. It's amazing any one would think the "little man" is going to be successful in the NFL.
