Mazi faced starters and backups. He was up and down as a rookie, but there were times that he blew up plays or held his ground. Lots to build on.

Bohanna faced backups. He was up and down as a third-year player, but there were times that he made plays or held his ground. Needed to see more at this point.

HE was ok first game. Bad game second. Good game this past week. Showing improvement. Bohanna has shown nothing. It's weird that someone is rueing Bohanna.

Dont know why you are so hung up on Bohanna. Our run defense didnt start becoming adequate until we got Hankins. When Bohanna was our 1T, he was closer to a liability than an asset

After Mazi went out this past game, the middle of the defense got gashed bad. Not sure why the Raiders just didn't pound the rock until we stopped it at that point.

I have Bohanna going on the PS because I don't think he showed enough for anyone to claim him. But, of course, there's the thought that there are only so many big men on the planet, so someone might give him a chance.

I really don't understand, though, why anyone thought we would keep him on the 53. He's strictly an NT and we re-signed Hankins and drafted Mazi for that role. Not going to keep three NTs on the roster.

Not a big surprise, I thought he had a bit better of a camp but wasnt going to see the field with Hankins and Mazi. Cowboys likely considering along the dline who's a capable 3rd string that could play multiple positions for that spot instead.

I dont know how much he would see the field anyway, but its worth considering if he carries more value than Mckeon or who would be easier to get on the practice squad. 1 good game usually doesn't mean you make the team, but could generate some interest from other teams. I get the intrigue in trying to retain him, but up to this point we havent heard a lot during camp on him.

On the surface, I would slightly agree with you. Í would have thought a 5th or 6th, but no higher. Don’t forget, your boys only gave up a 4th for a top round draft pick too.…and a QB to boot. I’m not sure what you think Simmons was worth but let me add this….I browsed a Cards Messge Board and chatted with some guys over there…bottom line….most are happy to see him gone and said he was pretty much useless. He is not a good LB, can’t shed big OL guys, and he is not good in coverage. And when he requested to play safety, this wasn’t much better.

I think they Didn’t know how to use him properly…maximizing his strengths, which speed is one. I’m trusting Wink will know.
