I think Simmons was definitely worth a shot for Y’all. He hasn’t done much but a different coach and situation might can still get something out of him. He has plenty of athleticism if his instincts can just catch up. Wink will also put him in better situations than what Arizona did, IMO.

Our back up Edge guys last year were unremarkable. Jihad Ward, Tomon Fox, and Oshane Ximines are JAGs.

Not sure how Wink is going to use Simmons but this last preseason game, he played 5 plays and rushed the passer on all 5. take that for what it’s worth. Boogie Bashan obviously replaces one of those JAGs.

Simmons is not a safety, and he's not a linebacker. He's a great college player who just isn't translating to the NFL.

Yes, and even if he had not...he is a rookie and has upside. Bohanna is in his third year, has shown no improvement, and is the definition of a JAG.
