point being?

Other teams come back from being down 17 points, but Dak precedes to throw not 1, not 2, but 3 picks to ensure the blowout is complete.
People can’t even beat the niners but beating them coming back from 17? Bad picks yes but game was over

Sure they were. They had guys, they understood they probably weren't the right guy so they were continuously looking.
So using the last pick of the 7th round on a QB = "looking."

But trading a 4th-round pick for a QB does NOT = "looking."

Got it.

So what?
That doesn't get them anywhere.
They should be trying to move away from Dak not give him more money.
.
It's really easy to spend someone else's money.
LOL, what aren't you understanding here?

We need to pay someone. You keep talking about "it's not my money" yet every reply is about saving that money which isn't yours.

Which is it?

We're not actively trying to lose football games yet. Is that your strategy? Because that's the only reason one would rather play Cooper Rush.

The 49ers were willing to throw away Lance, who they used up multiple 1st round picks for
The 49ers know how to evaluate QB talent and cut losses when they need to.

Hahahahahahahahaa

Just lying or totally ignorant at this point.

1) They saw Brock Purdy light up the league BEFORE making any decision on Lance, not after.

2) They wanted to keep Lance around as the #3 QB (after he lost the backup QB battle to Darnold), and that's when LANCE REQUESTED A TRADE.

They didn't "throw him away", he wanted out.

Reply with more lies.

1) Agreed
2) Good job for correcting me, no need to get your panties in a bunch.

The 49ers know how to evaluate QB talent

The bold part is still funny.

Nobody knew how good Brock Purdy would be, he was a 7th-round flier.

The 49ers lucked into him after Trey Lance, the guy they traded the stars and moon for, looked like a potential bust AND got injured.

Purdy only saw the field because their top TWO QBs got hurt last year.

That counts as "knowing how to evaluate QB talent"?

So if Dak gets hurt next year and some late-round flier QB lights up the league and takes his job, would that be a product of the Cowboys magically learning "how to evaluate QB talent"?

Or just blind luck?

Finish with a better record? Maybe. Salvage? No. Best case is say 10 or 11 wins and a wild card, still miles short of the SB.
All you have to do is make the tournament. . . The identity of this team is the defense and they have all the weapons on offense to secure wins. A change at QB would right the ship

We've been looking.

We traded for a former #3 overall pick.

Were the 49ers "looking" when they found Purdy? Or did they just get lucky that their top 2 QBs got hurt last year?
Lol. You just like playing devil’s advocate.

SF and other teams have shown the benefit for eating contracts (or high picks) of QB’s that have shown the team their perceived ceiling. Dallas does not do business like that with the QB position. A QB that can get you into the postseason (which is basically half the league now) is good enough to give market rate extensions to. Some GM’s/front offices want more because their jobs are not guaranteed no matter the results (and the team does not turn high profits with just a playoff appearance).

Other teams roll the dice repeatedly to try to hit on this position till they get something they see championship potential in (sometimes with the same front office and sometimes with completely new staff). This team stops rolling at making playoffs every year or two.
