You people would have been ready to fire Landry in 1968. You would have been screaming to fire Jimmy in week 5 of 1992. I'm not saying that Garrett is in their league, but remember that Murray and Ware were sidelined today and had they been healthy, they would have made a difference. Chill.

Oh, Lawd, here we go with the Landry mantra again. I'll clue you in, Jason Garrett is not Landry. His team got 4 turnovers today, and he still managed to lose the game.

Funny thing, I'd be so onboard with Jason Garrett taking the playcalling responsiblity back.

I have said it before either Garrett or Romo must go..and Romo just got the big deal

It is time for a new offensive philosophy

We've harped on Romo protecting the football so much that it seems like that he doesn't take chances anymore. Old Romo see Dez with a safety over the top? Doesn't matter. New Romo? Doesn't look Dez's way until midway through the first half.

Look. JG can draft, he'd be better suited to be a GM.

The Head Coach experiment has failed, it's time to move on.

The same thing with every coach for years ...the problem is JERRY....not saying Jason is not at fault but I just believe the same crap will happen with a different coach.

Serious question (for someone with a good memory)... how many game management games has he lost us in his tenure here already? I think the number is close to 10 at this point already

I seriously have never seen a head coach personally cost his team double digit games during his tenure due to horrendous game management.

It is almost like if you picked a fan from the stands to coach this team, he would not lose as many games by bad decision making as our Ivy League HC has.

Surely you did not watch the last draft war room. Jason Garrett did absolutely nothing except talk to some girl (JJ's daughter?) in the room. I'm not exaggerating. He did nothing during the day of the draft.

Maybe he helped put the board together. I highly doubt it though. I am trying to think of some value Garrett brings to the table. I honestly can't think of one thing he does well. It is just a matter of time before he is fired. Only 8 or 9 more games suffering through this idiot at the helm.

He's ruined Romo he's offense has been an utter bust. He's simple no origination no way to create match up opportunities at all. Yeah he's helped collect good talent and coached the dumb penalties out of this team. But he can't design a gam plan that is consistent and he is a terrible game manager he's more suited to be a GM

I need to get off this board before I get banned today.

Garrett did not cost us this game.

I'm not a moron. don't be one guys.

More excuses for the golden boy...........................if he is such a great head coach, when does the team start to actually win games?

I know this is a concept lost on most of his fans, but I was under the impression that in professional sports you actually have to win the game to be consider a good head coach......................ya, wild concept..........actually winning games.

I hate JG too but exactly what is he supposed to be doing while sitting there for hours and hours? Who gives a flip what his activities were in there. C'mon man.

Yea don't get these fans that credit Garrett with draft success lately when anyone paying attention saw exactly who was in charge of the draft and it's definitely not JG

I come to realize that Garrett got to be coach of the Cowboys just because of Jerry's nostalgic feeling on what the team was during the 90s. Garrett has been a complete and utter failure and Romo does not deserve that type of coach.

While I stop short of wanting to lynch Garrett, the comparisons with Tom Landry I found laughable and ridiculous...always have from the start. I think many of us are invested in Garrett as the right course and many will give him as much latitude as is required before giving up the ghost. Personally, I just don't see it for him. I think he has the respect of his players but I don't think that this team will acquire enough talent fast enough to get him to a championship. Even then, I believe that the Cowboys will get there in spite of him, not because of him. After today's slightly less than surreptitious scuffle on the sidelines, I am sadly more convinced. It should not take a receiver to remind an offense that a football game is in process. That is Jason Garrett's job. Period.

Today's NFL is more about coaching than ever. Every team has talent...most of it wasted. It is the headcoach that is smart enough for long enough that will get his players to the final Sunday of a season.

There will always be "good" reasons to lose. There will always be injuries, great players on the other team, bad breaks that could've gone the other way, hostile environments, etc., etc.

Given how the Cowboys seem to sustain injuries every year, maybe they're part of the game. Maybe every team deals with them.
