That 3rd down play was impossible to defend. Good lord sister, amazing throw and catch. No defense can prevent a play like that.

Ignance abound tonight

Well technically if Jones does his job, the play is easily defended actually. Can't really blame Marinelli on that play. Jones, for some reason, saw Cook slide past him and kind of froze for a split second which cost him.

There is nothing "amazing" about a season where you were the #1 seed, had home field and couldn't win a playoff game.

That's a good season, not a great or amazing one. Trying to re-write it as amazing because we had rookies playing a big role is just homerism. Expectations and the threshold for a successful season changed when this team went 13-3.

Why on earth would you try to throw against a completely depleted core of DBs? Our game plan made no sense (to people who have no sense)

That play was not impossible to defend, it was the combination of an epic hold not called, and the Safety for whatever reason being extremely lazy on the play. That play should have been easy to defend or at minimum should have been called back.

The safety gave an incredibly tiny window and covered his guy way longer than reasonably expected.

I sure hope you got tomorrow off, because you'll need a good bit of time to sober up

Don't syh too much. It clearly is very loosely attached

Yes, I keep my head on a swivel, because I have to be on the lookout for characters like you you who spend their emotional currency on condescending gibberish that is devoid of substance. I love you tho brotha. We root for the same team. Can you give a brotha some love? I know it's hard, but can you do it for the sake of brotherhood? ;)

Byron Jones was right there, if he had his head on a swivel and wasn't completely 100% locked onto the QB and saw the receiver behind him it would have been easy to defend. He was covering grass and completely lost track of his zone. You're right, ignorance is abound tonight. Saying a 3rd and 20 pass is in coverage is the definition of ignorance. If it was a jump ball and Jones for beat straight up, fine. But he lost track of a receiver in his zone and ended up covering grass becuase of a stupid mental error.

That may have been on dak(the spike), I love the guy but Dak could've made a judgement call based on the play clock.

Regardless, all we needed was for our defense to sto Rodgers on 3rd and 20 with 15 seconds left...

Yep. But let's rush three and give an elite quarterback who was throwing pinpoint passes time to find another receiver down field. :banghead:

I had a blast this season, however, I can't get beyond the thought that coaching matters in a ton in the NFL, especially in the playoffs, and JG has never shown himself to be anything but an average coach -- at best.

LOL. You have all the excuses lined up.

When the strength of your team is running the ball and you get away from that and eschew Elliott in short yardage situations for passing, that's a mistake plain and simple. You can sit there and insult people for questioning you or the coaches, but you are the only one looking foolish here.

The offensive play calling tonight was suspect at times. Very suspect.

Err. Nope. Try again. Jones messed up there.

Honestly, it's hilarious watching you post. No one on the Cowboys ever makes a mistake. You are literally the perfect example of what a homer is.

Teams/coaches legacies are defined what you do in the playoffs. This team, as always, really fought hard for Jason to get back in the game. Although they appeared off and a little sloppy to start the game. There are a few coaches in each sport who you just feel confident they are going to find a way to win a big game....and then there is everyone else. I want Jason to succeed but he is clearly in the everyone else grouping right now.

I might have called two or three plays differently, but geesh we had 440 yards penalties...with maybe another 50 yards called back.

You want to vent because we lost. You wouldn't be saying any of this had we got a defensive stop at the end.
