and counting.Uh, 21.

I might have called two or three plays differently, but geesh we had 440 yards penalties...with maybe another 50 yards called back.
You want to vent because we lost. You wouldn't be saying any of this had we got a defensive stop at the end.
Know where we can find one?We would have won with a Bill Belicheck
Garrett did a great job to get us here. We lost because one of the best QBs in the league did something amazing.

This is such simplistic analysis. What did 440 yards get us? A loss.
Yeah, if the D makes a couple of stops, maybe we win. But if Linehan doesn't ignore Elliott at the end of the first half, maybe we score 7 and we win the game. Or maybe if when we get into the red zone in the 3rd Q, on 2 and 1 we don't run a bizarre screen that was easily picked up by the GB defense. Hyde didn't even make a play on the WR, he knew exactly where the ball was going as people in the game thread suggested we telegraph that play with our alignment, etc. Maybe if we get 3 or 7 there, it doesn't matter what the defense does.
Calling three or four plays differently, properly, can be the difference between winning and losing. So to diminish that and want to eschew any criticism of the offensive coaches is just not correct IMO.
What kills me is we took Zeke out of the Detroit game early, we don't play him in the last game of the season against the Eagles, we don't let him go for Eric Dickerson's record because we're resting him for the playoff run, and then we take him out in the second half and refuse to use him on third in short inside or near the red zone?
We wasted him like we wasted this season.
Yep. I made a post yesterday talking about what this game will mean as far as historical purposes. I posed the question did Romo hold Garret back or did Garret hold Romo back. I feel that Garret has to go and we need a good head coach. A lot of the fan base blame Tony Romo for our playoff issues and/or win or go home scenarios to get in the playoffs. Romo deserves his share of blame but Romo didn't play today and the team came out in the first quarter flat on offensive and defensive side of the ball. One thing with our playoff games or win and in games is the team always seemed to be unprepared to play. We came out today unprepared to play. So Romo didn't play so that means Garret is not ready to coach in the big leagues yet. I feel Garret held Romo back and there's a common theme that in the playoffs or win or go home games, Garret's team are not ready to play.We talked about the substitutions all week. Hell, the players talked about it. Then the first series we give them a few play and a third down conversion. Coaching. It will always be an uphill battle. Dak will have to overcome it. Tony never could, let's hope Dak can someday.
The only current prototype is located in the New England area.Know where we can find one?
How about on the 13 yard line early in the first quarter? Needed one damn yard. Set the tone.I just don't get it. Just don't get it.
Garrett offers nothing in terms of game day strategy, which is why the team's often superior talent is squandered in the playoffs.Garrett did a great job to get us here. We lost because one of the best QBs in the league did something amazing.

yeah always something, meanwhile he has got to div round 3 times and lost all 3.Always X # of players away
yeah he squandered EE today, although I dont know if Linehan has complete control over offense, so it could be he is to blame.Garrett offers nothing in terms of game day strategy, which is why the team's often superior talent is squandered in the playoffs.
that is it, he lacks the ability to innovate, and to be bold , or tough.Garrett is the reason I had a bad feeling about this game. It is so obvious he is in way over his head. The team came out flat and made stupid penalties. To top it all off we get the hallmark of the failed Garrett era with bad clock management. I guess Jerry needs to train him a few more years. We have already wasted away Romo's career on this clown, I guess Jerry wants to waste Dak too. Just as long as he is "comfortable".
