Really, brooksey1...this site has crucified Jeffcoat. The kid can't help that his Father was a stud and he had just a little above average talents.

He still has a big heart and I wish him further successes where his path travels.

So an udfa cut early is better than anyone we have?

Don't use sober while making that statement.

No. That wasn't the point I was making.

My point was that a castoff from the league's best defense might help to improve the league's worst.

Maybe not Jeffcoat specifically, but I would watch for other players cut by Seattle.

And there's that phrase again that we've seen all too often.

"If he's healthy."

Not only is he not healthy, we still don't know how well he's recovered from his ACL surgery.

Then one is then forced to use the common man approach. That says that a normal person recovering from ACL for this extended period, is again very solid.

Also, it implies that a person after having rehabbed, and at the talent levels previously demonstrated for an extended time and still at the age of Melton, should return to strong play as well.

Until disproven, what's there to prove?

The 'common man' approach states that it takes a full season for a player to fully return to form from an ACL injury, but I'm sure that's one that we also don't want to hear.

Nobody has any true idea of where Melton is because the guy hasn't played. So there's no reason to think he'd be better than his counterpart in Seattle.

No, that is a cherry picked special case of observing...for an excuse.

As to a referenced character highlight: misery loves company, if for no other reason than the original premise.

Pot meet kettle.

Your fandom is overriding your critical thinking centers.

Melton isn't even playing, yet your Cowboys love makes you want to elevate him to his former glory and claim that the current version is better than the starter for the league's most dominating defense.

You're quite alone on that island.

Nobody from the Cowboys defense would start in Seattle.

Deal with that fact.

I don't know if .14 warrants a guy being drunk. A guy his size is prolly a six pack to get to they BAC. Timing was not good for sure and driving while impaired is a no-no but let's tap the brakes on drunk on game day.

He may not be drunk by the time the game occurred, but he was definitely drunk when he blew a 0.14. That is enough to significantly impair most people. Of course who knows what he would have done had he not been pulled over. He may have gone home and had a few more drinks and then been drunk on game day.

That remains to be unseen. Without pressure from the edges our secondary will be in for some long games.

I wouldn't give up a 3rd for a loner. Even if that package included Mo.

It's already proven the guy is a bust. The guy can't stay on the field and his shoulder will stay injured.

So this must be Jamaican...as the only true island knowledgeable person...just like all the other stereotyped put downs.

To the point, I was purely describing the analysis methods that uh, YOU, were showing...and yet you stereotype as always, upon burn barrel lines.

I haven't denied problems in the Dallas defense, and even stated that with Melton, Spencer, Okoye, and even Lawrence there would need to be an upgrade demonstration before the ranks up front for Dallas, are even middle of pack right now.

Keep up with the Jamaican rum, although,..or 'roll' of choice. This sort of 'rebuttal' isn't too good.

Oh, and I don't use alcohol but on special occasion, and never participate with cannabis or any other alter state inducements.

And if attention was given to any more than your own opinions, I was defending a person already in your own sights. But gave a defining definition that the current situation involving Melton did comply with a stronger and at least supportive type of picture.

No, flaming was continued with a cherry picked reason shown once again...

Stereotype, meet bias...

For one to define that as common man approach, he sure must live amongst cronies and weird guys.

And once again, you clearly demonstrate that English is NOT your first language.

As I have neither the energy nor the desire to attempt to translate this gibberish, I won't bother.

Point stands. Nobody on the Dallas defense would start in Seattle.

The 'cronies' and 'weird guys' are the ones who will throw all logic aside in the blind support of their team.

My fandom does not require that I turn my brain off.

You can decide for yourself where you stand.

You really stick to a topic out there in left field, great stereotyping with directed angers...only the topic started upon Jeffcoat, and certain members seem to be akin to a buzzard lurking for a carcass...go figure.

This is a prime example that the more crap that is throw around, removes real logic from the table...think again, and that potty mouth still is out of place in a discussion.

Or prove a case on anything football related now, that just wasn't insult of another poster.

I feel sorry for Jeffcoat. Not you...if your desire is nothing more than insultive stereotyping, as pointed out, several times now, then take it to pm. You are wasting real opportunity now. End of my rebutting your directions of insult.

Sounds like the guy has hit rock bottom (missing meetings, drunk, overweight) maybe he had a bad breakup, divorce or death in the family.
He needs rehabilitation more than anything. Some coaches do that naturally if he gets picked up by Seattle for instance then you know he'll be a productive team member in 4-6 weeks.

Newsflash, YOU were the guy who jumped into the topic adding in two cents about Melton and his recovery from ACL surgery when he was suggested as a possibility to start over one of Seattle's starters.

Have you so soon forgotten?

If you don't want to talk about the subject, don't comment on it.

But don't make some wild accusation about someone steering you off topic.

If the truth hurts your eyes, don't look.

Drop the martyr act. Nobody's picking on you and you're not the victim of anything.

If you don't have anything of value to contribute to the conversation, don't.
