Just got home after watching my team win away at Milton Keynes.

For those of you guys that don't know much about lower league football in the UK, the MK Dons are England's most hated team.

The owner bought a team called Wimbledon, and moved them out of London to Milton Keynes.

I know this happens sometimes in the US, but this is almost unheard of in the UK, and as such fans of most other teams (particularly in the lower leagues) now despise the MK Dons.

Anyway, our boys beat them 2-1 on their own patch, with a last minute penalty :D

great game by Arsenal today vs the magpies. Score could have easily been 8-0.

RVP looks like he's back in form...only to get injured again. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

and i don't know how joey barton is still allowed to play. total douchebag. he had a bad challenge on Nasri that wasn't called. Nasri got him back with a nice little trip that the ref didn't see. Nasri <3

Still coming down from the high of dominating Celtic in their own ground, come on Rangers!!!

Absolutely pumbled them down at the piggery, going to their ground and tearing them apart like that is the best feeling in the world. Nothing can match the old firm.

Oh, and big news today. Man City were took over by a billionaire who has 10x more money than Roman Ibramovic - they splashed out £32million on Robinho today which is a great signing, he's a cracking wee player.

Man Utd got Berbatov for £36million who is also a superstar, big day for both Manchester teams.

Berbatov is really overrated. that's a fairly expensive signing. Man City got a great deal with Robinho in comparison.

and it looks like Man City is the new chelsea.

This is ridiculous, money is going to kill the premiership. The lower teams are getting taken further out of the picture and these teams with money will be in trouble as well.....when these foreign investors get bored with these teams (which are nothing more than toys to them) they will be in huge trouble.

Berbatov is a great signing, he is more of a creative player but even at that he still has a goal scoring record of a goal every other game for Spurs - that is exceptional. Robinho is a better signing though IMO.

Is there any truth in the rumour the Robinho didn't realise there were two teams in Manchester & still thinks he's signed for United :D

He's in for a shock when he gets to training.

Kevin Keegan sacked as manager of Newcastle.

Who in their right mind is going to want that job (unless your name is Alan Shearer).

Newcastle are denying that rumour now....he's still manager according to them.

And no, Robinho knows exactly who he signed for. He spoke about Elano already being at City made it easier for him to go.

Not now he isn't, just been announced that he's resigned.

As for Robinho, yeah it was a joke. That said so is the fact that he's joined City for footballing reasons.

well I am ready for world cup qualifiers

bought my France jersey a few days ago ;)

Canada is in tough against Honduras. We choked at home against Jamaica a couple of weeks ago so if we don't win at home against Honduras, we can already start looking forward to 2014.

i've been seeing a couple of people on the streets wearing a France Zidane jersey (in Austin, TX). I've been thinking of buying either a Spain Fabregas jersey or a France Henry jersey...or maybe a France Nasri jersey if they sell those:D

Then you must be considering burning it in effigey.
Losing to Austria? Seriously? The team that had a company offering to give the players free beer for life if they even scored at their home tournament this summer. What a disgrace.

yeah pretty bad. only saving grace is that it was a road game, Romania lost to Lithuania at home, Serbia barely beat the Faroe Islands at home and now goes to Paris on Wednesday so France should win then, and best of all it might get Domenech fired.

There is always some strange result early in qualifying, that is why it is a 10 game affair.

Nice win for the 3 lionesses

Of course I always say, if they held world cups between world cups, England would win them all. They just have trouble winning when it counts or in shootouts ;)

Nice comeback win by Les Bleus. Tough test in October for them, they go to Romania.

We had trouble winning between the last two major tournaments, hence why we were not at the Euros in the Summer. The idiot manager had a lot to do with it as well.

Have to say I don't see England winning a tournament any time soon, cause as you rightly say, we can't win a game on penalties. And it's a fact that in most tournaments the winners will have won a knockout game on pens.

As for France, do you think this is the end of the golden generation, will they be a force once the likes of Henry are gone?

If they only had a semi-sane manager.

Nasri, Ribery, Benzema, Ben Arfa, Evra, Clichy, Sagna - that's a great assortment of young talent. When you combine it with the likes of Anelka, Henry and even Trezeguet (no more overrated than Michael Owen), they should be a force.
