Seriously. Bentley is the biggest prick I have ever seen, he conducts himself like he is a superstar. Its hilarious.
Can't quite understand what all the fuss is about him to be honest. Very disappointing start Man United. They are having a torrid time of it with injuries.

That's because Ronaldo wasn't there, I don't care what people have to say, for a team that have spent as much money as Man Utd they are still a one man team.

That's just silly. They were missing not only Ronaldo, but Tevez (in devastating form in the pre-season), Anderson, Nani, Hargreaves, Park and Saha (granted he's always hurt.)

Yes Ronaldo is their best player, but they are no more a one-man team than Barcelona was when Ronaldinho was in his heyday, or the undefeated Arsenal team with Thierry Henry.

im not really a big fan of rooney anymore. this has nothing to do with his performance yesterday ( i know he had some virus). i thought rooney was kind of average last year.

tevez is a beast though.

and man. i loved that arsenal team. henry, bergkamp, pires, viera, ljungberg

Just got back from Holiday in Spain.

We managed to catch the Barcelona v Boca Juniors game on Sat night.
Barca won 2-1, with both goals in injury time.

Henry played the first half on the left wing and looked out of the game for the most part, but Barca looked like they just needed a front man that could score. (the guy on the left wing used to be a bit of a dab hand at sticking the ball in the net, give him a go up front). Eto'o was on the bench at this time, and only after he came on did Barca look anything like scoring.

It's not silly in the slightest, the numbers from last season tell the story. Ronaldo scored so many game winning goals it was unbelievable, Man Utd would have been 17 points worse off without Ronaldo's goals. They would have been blown away in the league plus he was the top scorer in the champions league....those other guys are all important, but without Ronaldo they are a FAR less effective team.

yeah, Henry hasn't looked very good on the left wing. He's really effective when he plays striker up front and is given freedom to roam like he did at Arsenal. It also doesn't help that Henry's body isn't what it used to be.

Take the best player away from any team and there's bound to be an effect- the same would happen with Milan if Kaka were injured; Barcelona has suffered when Messi has been hurt. That makes neither of those teams 'one-man teams.' The same goes for United. I honestly think losing Rio Ferdinand would be almost as heavy a blow. To tell the truth, I actually wouldn't have minded swapping Ronaldo for Wesley Sneijder.

Ronaldo is the best player in the world, but you can't deny how good the rest of the team is.

Their backline with Ferdinand and Evra are fantastic. They have veteran guys like Giggs, Scholes, and Hargreaves in the midfield. And of course Rooney and Tevez (although I've been down on Rooney since the world cup). almost forgot VDS too.

And Vidic is an absolute beast. I tell you, if Louis Saha could ever stay healthy, they'd be unbeatable. Still they might be bringing in Berbatov, who is a quality striker.

yeah. i think their one weak spot is with Wes Brown, but that has more to do with Gary Neville always being injured. other than that, their starting 11 is amazing

Chelsea look far superior this year, they will win the league IMO. Ronaldo will be out for another month at least and that is plenty time for Utd to slip up without him. If Chelsea build a lead this year it is over, they are FAR better than they were last season.

I don't think there is a soccer player on the planet more overrated than Wayne Rooney.

He reminds me more and more of Paul Gascoigne every day.

Ronaldo is easily the best player in the world, he is a cut above the rest. You get skill, pace, power, great arial ability, dead ball threat and goals. Ronaldo has been cutting back on tricks every game and now he uses his speed and power more than anything, the step-over only comes in here and there.....42 goals from a winger and every award going kinda agrees he is the worlds best player.

Rooney is average, he is only hyped the way he is because he is English. Paul Gascoigne was a legend though, he was an absolute genius on the field.
