Official Tashard Choice Thread **MERGED**

I have never seen such a candyassed move as Choice made. I've enjoyed reading the handful of posts defending him - most use defective arguments, and the lot show as much grit as a girls tea cotillion. I'd call you a homer, but Homer is a boys name, and Choice and his defenders are anything but masculine.

Do we really need to point out how utterly STUPID it is to argue that a show of sportsmanship at midfield is no different than a show of abject fealty? I'll pause while you whelps look that up...

That it was for a sick kid? What else do you have up there, where you pulled that from? Besides your heads?

Just goes to prove the axiom that there will always be those willing to defend the indefensible.

I'm just simply amazed that we actually have people on here that think this is no big deal. Guess I'm just from a different time. Pretty much shows why this country is going to crap. No pride, no common sense, no sense of duty or loyalty, and no work ethic. I'm a Federal Agent. Guess I need to try to get the autographs of the top 10 Most Wanted as soon as possible. Afterall, they're among the best criminals.

:laugh2: nice post.

idk if other teams do this or not, seems like the good ones do not, i really don't like seeing it, no matter who it is, whether it is ware or TC, just leaves a bad tast in my mouth and i understand where those that are saying cut choice are coming from, but after thinking about it, I think it is ok.

For anyone here that played sports and played against players on an opposing team frequently you know that after the competition is over you generally talk to the other team (of course there are those you do avoid). But even from a young age all athletes are taught that after the game is over go and shake hands whether you win or lose, and matter of fact not shaking hands after a loss is bad sportsmanship.

Just something to think about.

I don't want Choice cut. I just want him to grow up and show some pride. He embarrassed himself, his team, and the fans. That was just a juvenile display of stupidity.

It doesn't bother me. You lay it all on the field, and then after the game, you show sportsmanship.

That was a little beyond sportsmanship, don't you think?

No big deal? It just tells me how much of a candy arse he actually is. How little he cares about winning.

I can't believe some fans don't think this is a big deal. I agree 100% with the poster that said there's a reason the Pats and Steelers don't do that. This team should be sick, absolutely sick after a loss like that. Instead they are looking for autographs???

Be friends in the offseason, after a loss get your butt to the locker room, look at yourself and say "hey, what could I have done better."

I'm so sick of TC and the rest of the wusses on this team.

I fail to see how wanting a player's autograph shows that a player cares little about winning.

I thought how you showed you cared about winning by how hard you prepare during the week and how you play on the field.

After the game is decided, how is anything you do afterward a sign you don't care about winning?

99.9% of the time coaches meet at midfield, and unless one of them has blatantly run up the score on the other, thats the result you see.

I've never seen a player ask for another team's player autograph on the field after a game like that.

We must be watching different games. Red was beaming at Reid, most coaches give a half-hearted smile and handshake.

It shows you hold no ill will against Vick and don't want to punch him or other Eagles in the face, as some posters have suggested.

I think fans get more worked up over this stuff than the players do.

:laugh2: Flattered haha...I'm actually surprised you think that way. I'd think that it's the older fans who don't care becuase they have mellowed out some.

Mellowed? I ain't never gonna mellow. It just isn't in my makeup. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. :D

I gotta agree. As much as I am a fan of TC's that was not a good move at all. Do that stuff back in the lockerroom when no one can see it at least. If you hear about it fine but to see it RIGHT after the game is ridiculous. I am not saying they should get rid of TC but I would keep my eye out on him.

So because Choice wants an autograph from Vick, the country is going to crap?

Wow.

Absolutely. My generation is as soft as it gets.

If they cared about winning they would be miserable right after they lose. Maybe i'm too serious, maybe I need to calm down, but it kills me to lose a game in a rec lacrosse league. The last thing I want to do is shake the other team's hands. It's nothing against them, some of them are great players. I don't care. I want to get the heck out of the gym before anybody can say "wow, that kid's a loser"

Yea, after every little league game we had to go shake hands with the opposing team.

However, none of us every pulled out a sharpie and asked the pitcher for an autograph after we just lost a home game to our district rivals.

Talk about having no balls at all, wow Choice, just wow.

Instead, you just ask him to sign your gloves...and your knee pads.

It's O.K. Apparently you just don't understand. Many are like you and you're in the ever-increasing majority.
