:laugh2: I swear I didn't see you state that earlier. MNF just made me think about it. I read where you thought Holmgren and Mooch would be good though.

That's what I was thinking. What other teams will be looking for a Gruden type coach? He obviously loves Romo and his offensive philosophy mirrors Holmgrens. Both are QB friendly coaches.

Like you said. Does he sit behind a booth analyzing games another year? Does he HC a Buffalo Bills team? Or does he get paid alot more and take a high glamour job as OC for the Dallas Cowboys? The last one makes the most sense.

Gruden will also have colleges coming after him as well. I just don't see him coming back on anything but his own terms and I don't see him settling for an OC position. Mooch is an interesting thought, but he sems fairly comfy with the NFLN.

Why all the love for Ron Rivera? Yeah he is young, loud and was on the 80's Bears' team, but what the heck has he done at San Diego? Charger fans still miss Wade over there.

IMO we should have taken Norm which would have benefitted Romo instead of priority on 3-4 defensive mind. How is that working. Kinda like taking out two problems with one punch.

But moving forward I'm open. Any SB experience coach is a step up. The list is long. I don't recall this many available before. A better list is who will want to work with JJ?

Gruden and Billick would seem to fit. I agree... Gruden will not accept OC.

Gruden sure lobbied Mon nite and we should look at him. I like a coach who has taken two different teams to the top of their conferences...not just one.

Screw that. I'd pull Gruden out of the booth and then see what he wants to do with Garrett. My guess is, boot him so hard out of Dallas we'd forget his name over night.

...keep Gruden right where he is...

...Cowher is the only man for the job...Dungy also but the 3-4 may get scrapped in the process...

...long shots, both...

I'm with ya! On the Gruden bandwagon since the offseason. In fact, Cowher, is the only coach I'd take over him. And yknow, after hearing Gruden on that Monday night game and some of the "inspiring" ideas he personally had where some of our players are concerned, I'm not so sure he's just my second choice anymore.

He did turn Gannon from journeyman to Pro Bowler.

He hasn't developed many Qbs because he's almost always had a vet at the position.

I think he'd do ok with Romo beyond that it's a mystery. I can admit that Holmgren has been better in that regard but I'm worried about his age (62)

thats because hes alway got like 7 QB's on his losey team

Gruden

05 - 11-5

I don't mean this as a dig at Jerry, though it will clearly come across as that, but I see Dungy being too classy/religious to work for someone as sleazy as Jerry. I can't imagine Dungy even interviewing here, much less sitting down with Jerry and connecting with him on some emotional/mental level that would make him want to work for him.

Unless, that is, Jerry sells Dungy on the idea that his calling is to be here in order to steer Jerry away from temptation -- such as the cage dancers inside Cowboys Stadium and the in-game sex taking place in the bathroom stalls.

You know of any QBs that Gruden Developed? Then I will tell you how many QBs he ruined. The guy can never find a QB he likes, well other than Gannon. Not to mention lot of his Ex-players plain hated his guts.

Please! Gruden did not ruin any QB's. He inhereted the QB's he was coaching. Didn't hand pick any of them. Chris Simms is not much of a QB. Nor McCown. Brad Johnson before he got extremely old "helped" Gruden win a Super Bowl.

I wonder how much truth is in the America's game where the players and Gruden talk about Gruden figuring out Philly? I mean at least the guy contributed to the teams offensive success. Not sure he is my first choice though.
