You did nothing, really...but you did trip yourself up when you mentioned that Goodell and the NFL has many attorneys that he confides in to make sure he does not break the law...then you come back in the same post and say that we only have Goodell making all these decisions...
I just find that kind of ironic coming from my good pal, peplaw.
I never said that he confided in the attorneys to tell him if he's breaking the law. He might, he might not. Odds are the NFL's counsel are paper pushers.... no offense theo.
Anyway, his attorneys probably set up the conduct policy the way that it is, so that he could have as much power as possible and not have to ask the question whether he can legally do it. Oh yeah, just make it ambiguous, then you can have all the power you want. Just say everything is conduct detrimental.

Wow, burmafrd, that is a little harsh! Remember that if you ever need an attorney to represent you...
Burm would slit his wrists before setting foot in an attorney's office. I hope he never gets a divorce, tries to set up a will, or gets accused (wrongfully of course) of anything.
BTW Burm... care to challenge any of my positions re: the conduct policy? Do you think the current conduct policy is a good thing? Does the phrase conduct detrimental to the league bother you at all? Or are you just going to continue with your drive-by personal attacks while never really addressing the topic?
