Seriously, though, Romo could get hurt doing a lot of things. He could get hurt walking down the stairs. He could hurt his hand drawing up secret plays with Witten. He could get some vicious VD chasing tail at the nearest club. Do we keep him from doing all of those things just because he could get hurt?

If you have some evidence of a number of people getting hurt holding the football, then that changes things entirely. Until then, I don't see the point in handling him with kid gloves just because we are paranoid over what could happen.

Stairs don't try to take cheap shots to intentionally hurt Romo.

Using your argument why not let injured players practice and play. Throw all precautions out the door because they can get hurt walking down the street anyways.

Watch out, Tony. You're next on the list of excuses.

One more thing to blame him for.

Romo should not be worrying about holding the snap. Romo should be worried about being the quarterback.

Hey, that rhymes!

IMO, he should actually be more worried about getting back with Jessica or even better Carrie. Wow she has taken off! (and no, not that way Bob) Go get er QB#9!

He never got hurt, the last time he was a starter and holding...

And speak for your own stairs.

And what does your second part have to do with anything? There's PLENTY of evidence of injured players making injuries worse. What I still haven't received is evidence of all these holders in the ICU.

If I was Romo, I would "Charlie Brown" Folk and run for my life. ;)

He can't kick it through the up-rights.

My last point was comment about your point that people can get hurt doing other things. Yes I agree but just because players can get hurt doing other things you shouldn't take precautions. It's about calculated risks. Yeh no holders have been hurt recently but how many starting QBs are FG holders.

Yes Romo did do it when he got the starting job in 2006 and luckly he didn't get hur but I think there is a risk of some awesome person player who will try to cheap shot him.

I'm all about the calculated risks too. But given that I can't personally remember any holder getting hurt, and no one else seems to be able to either, it doesn't seem to be a huge risk to me. Now someone could always waltz in here with evidence otherwise, and I may very well be wrong on this. Until they do though, it doesn't look like it's very risky and therefore a calculated-risk I'm willing to take. Because honestly, if this team doesn't fix its kicking issues, there won't be a January to worry about having a healthy Romo for. A healthy kicking game is absolutely vital for the playoffs - look no further than New England. What would Brady's and Belichick's legacy be if they didn't have Vinatieri hitting all of those clutch field goals.

Does Romo solve our problems in the kicking game? I don't know. But if he could, I think it's worth it to find out.

my issue wasn't even him getting hurt though I did say i'd laugh if he jammed a finger catching the ball. my issues are

#1 the biggest failure in his life was dropping a hold

#2 starting qbs don't hold anymore

#3 out of all the players on this team the only guy who Wade can find to hold is our franchise qb? didn't we just draft 12 special teamers? it's rediculous

I won't argue this last point. This seems like something that should have been addressed better in the offseason.

Who the heck cares. Are you people actually listening to yourselves? Tony will be just fine, I prefer him back there if Folk can make kicks again.

If it adds 3 or 6 points to our games then it is more than worth it.

Chill the heck out

I never understood why they put McBriar back there. In the 2004 opener in Minnesota a perfect snap sailed through his hands and that was then end of his holding days. Or at least I thought it was.

This is just ridiculous.

Nothing else to say, really.

There is seriously no one else to do this?

The snaps were a problem BEFORE this week (supposedly, now the local writers get on fatso about it and suddenly the solution is to put Romo back there?

The clowns running this team never, ever learn.
