My god. Randle was good today, made most out of opportunities. Suspect line play and penalties were the issue. Good lord some of you are blind and are begging for someone to rip on. Clearly no matter what he does - Randle will be the troll's whipping boy this season.

McFadden had better yards per carry and a longer run today than Randle. 18 carries by Randle and his longest run was 6 yards.

The experiment is only over in the fans mind, not the coaches or scouts minds. Whether we like it or not they are sticking with the current plan until when who knows.

Maybe. Once we see Cmike play we will know. Until then I am still holding out hope.

Thats exactly what im hoping for. For Crissy Crunch to make an appearance.

During the offseason, I went on and on and on.....and on, as many others did, about the concern with the stable of RBs we have. And was confused about why the team thought that Joe Randle or DMC coould be anything close to what Murray was the prior year. And, for the life of me, I didnt understand why they wanted to go "cutting corners" and fooling around with the Running Game, which propelled this franchise out of 8-8 hell into a legit Super Bowl Contender. If anything, double down, and get two bell cows, draft another..........

But it didnt happen. They replaced Murray , the leading rusher in the NFL and offensive player of the year, racking up 1800 yards, with a Joe Randle and DMC; thats what they did. ( Although, they did pick up Crissy. Which should tell you, they arent pleased with Randle/DMC either...)

So, everyone took sides and argued their positions. That we would be fine with RBBC, and we would just pass the ball a "little bit" more........

I think the jury is still out on if these decisions were right or not......we have alot of football to be played.

But, just like what I thought in the offseason. Joe Randle, is what he is. a really good scatback. That isnt changing. DMC looks.....done. I hope I am wrong.

Hey, I was hoping I was wrong; I was convincing myself that Joe Randle could put up 14-15 hundred.....and that the OLine would just pave the way. But that aint happening...

Again, lots of football to be played. But..... I dont see it happening with Randle or DMC. We dont have very good RBs, and I think its hurting us.....

Exactly.

Randle has started how many games? How many quarters?

So Randle is a 1,200 yard back?? A 1,000 yard back? No way. I like Randle, I really do, but he isn't our bell cow. In fact I think he would do really well in Kelly 's scheme as a compliment.

63 Yards a game will get you a 1008 yards. Yes he can do that.

Time to see what CMike can do and more of McFadden. I've seen enough and we need to lean on the running game bigtime!

Randle isn't awful, he is just not a lead back. He's a complimentary back only.

I thought Randle did good with what he was given on Sunday. However I think we MUST see what CMike can give us. It seems useless to have DMC active on game day with the way he is being utilized so sit DMC and play CMike

RB by commitee does not have a lead back. Thats the essence of it.

Sorry, but Randle was not the problem.

Randle made some terrific gains out of nothing. The blocking was not good on many plays and without Dez they have and extra defender to put in the box against the run. Then when Weeden was the QB it was obvious when it was going to be a run.
Anyone watching with a critical eye can see that Randle made some incredible plays out of nothing. He was not leaving any "meat on the bone." He should be commended for that and certainly deserves to continue receiving that majority of carries.

That said, I'm sure interested in seeing what CMike can do.

I thought our O line blocked like crap yesterday. I thought there was zero meat left on the bone.

"Thank you sir, may I have another" is not how I operate.

If it is broken I want to fix it, not grin and bear it.

I didn't want just OK out of our backfield. Our running game was record breaking last year and we went 12-4 with a mediocre Defense. I wanted the running game to be a strength again this year, paired with an improved Defense.

Its been two games. Way too small of a sample size to know.
