Opinion: The Randle experiment is over

My point is Randle isn't the one. Without Romo we need to manufacture wins and need a star RB. Maybe it's Cmike, maybe it isn't, but we need to at least see.

With both Romo and Bryant out...if a team wants to stuff the box and make Weeden beat them, then that is what will occur. Dallas ran badly against Philly last year, and that was with both Romo and Bryant on deck. The Dallas offense faces HUGE challenges until Romo gets back and a few more until Bryant returns.

That was the opinion of most of us prior to the season but some are dreamers here.

I think the opinion changed for most when we didn't draft a back. After that I think a lot of fans pulled a self sell job with Randle. He isn't bad IMO, just not a lead back. At this point I would rather see him active then McFadden with Michael active. McFadden really hasn't brought much to the table so far

Uhh, I'm not a big fan of him but he played well in both games this year.

Edit: Im all for CMike to get touches, but Randle is our best running back.

Umm, Randle is not even close to our best RB.

I don't think bringing CMike in will make a difference its obvious the opposing dline is giving it their best against the crowned best oline in the nfl

Randle did good today. at least I think he did

No it couldn't be the defense. Couldn't be a lot of factors in todays game. Randle was solid better than the All-World Murray across the the field that couldn't get away from one defender behind the LOS. Is Randle going to be an all-pro back most likely not but he is a serviceable starter.

That Eagles team is rejecting something. Rejecting Murray. Rejecting Chip.

Whatever, Whoever, that team is imploding....

I've been saying this for some time now. Shouldn't have let him go.

For all the talent we have on the OL they sure didn't look well coached.

The only way Callahan would have stayed in Dallas is if he was paid HC money. Dallas wouldn't let him interview for positions at the end of 2013 and they stripped him of play calling at the end of 2013 season. He was professional and did his job last year but no was he re-signing here.

How was our running game against the Eagles last year?

Right, I don't seem to recall many predicting that we'd fare too well against the Eagles' run defense anyway. I hear they're pretty decent at that.

< 3 YPC stinks out of context, but if you actually watch the game, you'll see that those 2-5 yard chunks were coming somewhat consistently, enough to eat lots of time off the clock and keep the time of possession in our favor. Of course, Philly's offense helps with that too, but I don't think we would have controlled the ball nearly enough if our running game wasn't consistently getting chunks of yardage for us. And I think that's all you can ask for against a run defense like theirs.

Our running game was ok, we just continued to shoot ourselves in the foot with procedural errors. Randle made solid yards out of nothing and finished runs well, fell forward for 2-3 yards.

The Defense beat their offense because the DL just ran through the holes left by pulling lineman.

They were out of sink too.

Last I heard twitter Keller Moore was making a last minute sink run but they couldn't get installation until after the game ( it was a road game afterall)

It's may seem small, but those little things make a difference

Sorry, but Randle was not the problem.

Randle made some terrific gains out of nothing. The blocking was not good on many plays and without Dez they have and extra defender to put in the box against the run. Then when Weeden was the QB it was obvious when it was going to be a run.

This, and we should probably get used to it. Everybody is going to stack the box until Romo and Dez are back.

Time to see what CMike can do and more of McFadden. I've seen enough and we need to lean on the running game bigtime!

Randle isn't awful, he is just not a lead back. He's a complimentary back only.

Exactly!

Whether he is the answer or not... He deserves more than two games to prove it.
I wish he would have bulked up a little.
