First off, Jerry loves him, so he’s not going anywhere… There’s also that nasty no trade clause…But what if…

Impossible
Cut this offseason, pre June 1. 89m in dead money.

Not impossible,
Cut this offseason, post June 1. There is no point to do this as his P5 is guaranteed. Literally no reason to do this…

Possible but kills our 23 offseason.
Trade this offseason, pre June 1. A little cheaper than Outright cutting him as his guaranteed p5 would move with him. Still 58m in dead money.

Plausible
Trade this off-season, post June 1. This is the sweet spot. We would save 31m in cap space for 2023. We would still have 40 million in Dead money, but it would be spread over future years 2024 - 2026.

Trade - You ask why would anybody trade for him? The answer is that since we would eat his remaining signing bonus, the acquiring team would get him on a two year 65m non guaranteed contract. There is actually value in that… Still that no trade clause though.

So there you have it. The only realistic option for 2023 is a post June 1 trade, that Dak agrees to. I think we could get a first round pick for for him… Maybe something like the Carson Wentz deal between Philly and Indy - a 23 third rounder and conditional 24 first rounder. .
Your best option is to start following another team with a qb you like.

Then you can pick them apart and blame them for stuff that isn't their fault too!

we're not moving on.
If you cut him and move on and we never win anything it will be the same if he's still here. Read it, learn it, live it.
No difference except you might get somebody who is better, but if we don't we still have the chance of never winning anything. I like to stay the same as with garrett.

Front office can’t evaluate QB talent. Front office does well for OL and DL. Spend money on OL and DL and CB. Get average cheaper QB. Get rid of Dak ASAP.

Jerry would get a lot solved if Air Coryell Jr suckers a new team about his offensive prowess.

Moving on from Dak wont be a quick fix.

This FO hasnt valued the QB position now for over a quater of a century. It has to learn how to approach the position if it wants to be successful and not holding their breaths everytime their QB all of a sudden retires.

I think you draft (regardless what you do with Dak) a QB in the 3rd round next draft. Then, if you plan to move on, draft a QB in the first round in 2024 (high pick!).

That said i dont think Dallas will move on from Dak. Reasons for me are:

- Dak gives them the possibility to stay in contest: be in competition for a wild card spot or get a divisonal title once in a while.
- Dak says all the right phrases during press conferences and so is a "good soldier" for the franchise.
- Dak is easy to sell, earn money from. He is an uncomplicated and manageable asset for the franchise.

This all gives the Joneses enough to have a good financial growth for their business.

AND: Both Booger and Chuckles wont admit that Dak is a bust. They told us for years now they are commited to Dak because they are convinced he is a good QB who can carry the team to a championship. Especially Boogers Ego is tighlty connected to Prescott.Just remember how long it took Booger to let go of Quincy Carter. That was his baby also.

They will stick to him. I see a new contract comming in 2023 for him.

Sadly they will restructure Dak's contract to add cap space next season which means Dak will be here for at least the next 3-4 years so there is no point to wishful thinking of moving on from Dak.

So you not a team guy, you’re a Dak guy. I like 52 other players just not Dak. What makes more sense, I find a new team or you the guy that likes one player finds a new team.

A lot of these Dak over Dallas fans showed where their loyalties really were when we were winning games with Cooper Rush.

They were hating it.

We were hating it? lol I like Dak and feel he gives this team the best chances nothing more. I have pulled for this team since Meredith was the QB. My loyalties have been and always will be the Cowboys. You on the other hand whine constantly about Dak, win or lose you bad mouth him. You throw out Rush as some means to prove a point? A QB you did not even want during the pre season. I like Dak and when his days are done and Cowboys bring in another QB I will pull for him as well.
