Brother Sydia, they wouldn't trade Dak even if they could, and they cannot, so time to acknowledge the contract and obligation withstanding.
Yes they could. You just need Dak to agree… yes it’s an extra hurdle but players wave no trade clause all the time.

First off, Jerry loves him, so he’s not going anywhere… There’s also that nasty no trade clause…But what if…

Impossible
Cut this offseason, pre June 1. 89m in dead money.

Not impossible,
Cut this offseason, post June 1. There is no point to do this as his P5 is guaranteed. Literally no reason to do this…

Possible but kills our 23 offseason.
Trade this offseason, pre June 1. A little cheaper than Outright cutting him as his guaranteed p5 would move with him. Still 58m in dead money.

Plausible
Trade this off-season, post June 1. This is the sweet spot. We would save 31m in cap space for 2023. We would still have 40 million in Dead money, but it would be spread over future years 2024 - 2026.

Trade - You ask why would anybody trade for him? The answer is that since we would eat his remaining signing bonus, the acquiring team would get him on a two year 65m non guaranteed contract. There is actually value in that… Still that no trade clause though.

So there you have it. The only realistic option for 2023 is a post June 1 trade, that Dak agrees to. I think we could get a first round pick for for him… Maybe something like the Carson Wentz deal between Philly and Indy - a 23 third rounder and conditional 24 first rounder. .

Here's the solution to it.... hire a real NFL quality offensive coordinator and our problem is fixed. I don't care who the quarterback is on our team.... as long as we have the dumbest, genetically intelligent challenged offensive coordinator named Kellen Moore, we're not doing anything special in this league.

Well yes, and indeed a hurdle.
Dak won't set on the bench an entire season and Dallas can't afford Dak to do so, so it's a stalemate.

Cowboys offense since Dak's return: number one in points, number three in total yards, 3rd down conversions, red zone offense, and 1st in yards per play.

Cowboys Defense since Dak's return: gave up 29 or more points three times after zero with Rush at QB, with fewer sacks, worse run defense, and worse pass defense.

So the solution according to threads like this is moving on from Dak?

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Same way as Jerry moved on from Romo...Have a replacement on the roster that forces the decision. Without Dak, Jerry would have kept Romo another year minimum.

They should find a QB with elite physical ability that might develop in a couple of years. That's not Rush and probably not Grier.

Lol. So no one in the history of sport has waived their no trade clause? Could of sworn I’ve seen a few.

Indeed, Wilson and Watson both waived theirs because they wanted out of town. The question is, why would Dak want out of Dallas?

They would be crazy to move on from Dak. They are a good team with a good qb. They should be a contender again next year.

He probably doesn’t. My response was more of just pointing out that a no trade clause does not make a deal impossible.

Is there anything that could happen To make you think we should move on from Dak? Say he really lays an egg in Tampa, in the wildcard round … Would that change your mind?

I find that highly unlikely that he would lay an egg in Tampa.

You aren’t going to convert the enormous masses that think regular season success and playoff qualification marks you as a contender. Check out the thread replies. The fact that the team is 10-4 (and playoff bound) means the season was a success-with any playoff success as gravy. The standards for many Cowboys fans has entered a new phase of loserdom. They will keep Dak next season no matter what bro. He could run out into Tampa or wherever, squirt feces onto Jerry Jones’ face and go 0-45 passing with eight interceptions and he still starts next year and likely with an extension.

What matters is what will most fans tolerate and keep following? Unfortunately, the answer is basically anything as long as the Dallas Cowboys play games in the NFL.
