If you're denying that he's still getting double and triple teamed, then you're either not watching the games or you're just flat out lying.

watching the same games everyboy else is, just not through the "Moss is God no matter what" colored glasses

he's a waste of time at this stage of his career

Remind me again, how many championships did Tom Brady win without Randy Moss?

Hell the pats won with a great defense and a solid running game then. When Moss came over they lost their defense after that 18-1 year.

This is super cool. Favre has wanted to play with Moss forever. I hope it happens and they both shut up the haters.

Great! Two over-the-hill players getting together for one last hurrah. They should probably be applying for their AARP cards.

So should they trade everyone on the team who hasn't won a Superbowl with Brady? Welker hasn't either.

Nice job of trying to deflect the discussion when you don't have a logical reply though.

As for your answer, three. With Moss? None. Is that Randy Moss' fault though? He caught what should have been the game-winning TD with two minutes left against the Giants. It's not his fault that the defense collapsed and let the Giants march down the field.

No, the problem is you're looking at the stats and thinking he's done. If you were watching the games, you'd see the coverage he still draws that allows players like Welker/Hernandez/Gronkowski/Tate to run free.

You think those guys are going to be as good without Moss? :lmao2: Mr "60 catch, 600-yard career high before I met Randy Moss" Wes Welker???? COME ON dude..

Watch him on the field dude. He isnt the player he was anymore, not even remotely close.

And his effort is a joke.

He's pulled the same stuff his entire career. He just pouts and gets bored...but when the guy wants to play, he's just freakishly good.

Give some credit to the Giants offense. They had one of the most remarkable passing plays in Super Bowl history on that drive.

That's just the thing. He thinks of a new team as a new wife. Once the honeymoon is over, he's ready to move on to another marriage. It will be no different in Minnesota.

Oh hey, I'm not trying to take credit from them. I'm just trying to point out how ridiculous the "Brady hasn't won any Superbowls" with Moss argument is, as if that has something to do with Moss.

Well they were winning championships with guys who were far less of a "name" player than Moss was, so I'm guessing they've decided they're sick of the pouting, complaining and total lack of effort and that their system and franchise QB will allow them to perform to a level that will still give them a chance to win.

Brady >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Moss and it isnt even remotely close

The 2007 Patriots was one of the best teams I've ever seen play. He helped Brady throw for 50 tds and go 19-0. He's made Qbs like Jeff George, Randall Cunningham, and Dante Culpepper look pro bowl worthy.

I don't get the hate, he's gonna go down as one of the best 3 Wrs to ever play the game.

nobody's won a super bowl with Randy Moss on their team, not just with Brady...great stat player...doesnt do much in postseasons and is old now

some players are winners, some are losers...Moss is a classic example of a loser

Didnt Gruden the other nite show how the miami defense rolled 3 players to Moss?

Im not a Moss fan.....but he still commands respect on the field and IMHO he still opens up the offense for the pats.

Pats will scheme again to get by without Moss......they did it before with no name WR's.....but they dont have a defense this year.....and no running back....

Its a solid move for both teams.......Pats dont want to waste cap space on a new contract to a old WR while they are in a somewhat rebuilding mode and the Vikes are in desperate need of a deep threat that can catch ....seeing how Rice (?) is missing due to injury....

Anyone who questions his influence on what the opposing defense does must not watch shows like Playbook and NFL Matchup much. Just this evening on Playbook they showed how the double team of Moss down near the endzone allowed DANNY FRICKIN' WOODHEAD to score vs. 1 on 1 coverage against a linebacker in the Dolphins game last night. No Moss = no single coverage for the likes of Woodhead. Has he lost a step? Probably. Does he dog it sometimes? Definitely. Is he as dangerous as ever? Not a doubt in my mind...ask Revis.

Um, any decent wide receiver would be doubled before Danny Woodhead would be.

47 rec, 865 yards, 10 TD in 12 postseason games -- and he "doesn't do much in the postseason" ?? :laugh1: Okaaaay...

Newsflash: The Pats haven't won the Bowl in 6 years... acting like that has something to do with Randy Moss is just flat out dumb.

Yep..pointed this out a few posts ago..although DBair swears that Moss only draws 1-on-1 coverage now..:lmao2: ...watch the games dude.

I don't know if I would go quite that far. I would say that if he would give it 100% all the time, he would blow away the record books. By his own admission, he takes plays off. His rookie year, he caught everything thrown his way. There was a huge dropoff in effort just a few years later.

Moss doesn't lack talent, he simply lacks heart. I don't blame the Pats for realizing that he maybe doesn't fit the chemistry of their team. Not that it was a surprise to begin with.

Clearly, but does "any decent receiver" dictate that there is no one in sight to help out? My point wasn't that Woodhead SHOULD be doubled, it was that Moss MUST be. At least the Dolphins seemed to think so.

Some other team has to jump in on this as well, if all it takes is a 3rd to land Moss every NFC team should bite at this point. What does chicago have at WR?

jeez. '
