Randy Moss-WR- Patriots Oct. 5 - 10:24 pm et
According to CSN New England's Gary Tanguay, Randy Moss and coach Bill Belichick "had words" when Moss "showed up unhappy" on Tuesday.
Moss reportedly wasn't too thrilled after being shut out of the passing game. Here's where the story forks: Tom Curran, also of CSNNE, insists Moss is not disgruntled after speaking directly with him following Monday's game. "He was more engaging than I'd ever seen him," says Curran, who noted that Moss never dogged on his routes while drawing double-teams all night.

Per FoxSports' Jay Glazer, the Vikings and Patriots may end up consummating a Randy Moss trade without a new contract "if it comes down to it."
"They've been crankin' on it," says Glazer. Contrary to the original report, the Vikes have not contacted Moss about an extension and the Pats have yet to grant permission. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora confirms Glazer's sentiment that a deal could still get done without a long-term contract. Moss is believed to be looking for $9-$10 million per year.

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora "hears" that a Randy Moss trade to the Vikings is not a "fait accompli by any stretch."
"There are hurdles to clear," says LaCanfora. Per NFL Network colleague Michael Lombardi, the Patriots have not given Moss permission to discuss a contract with any other team. This supports PFT's report that Moss has not commenced talks with the Vikes. The Boston Herald has been told that a trade is not "done," but confirms that the deal is being discussed with Minnesota.
