Signed by Cowboys OT Ty Nsekhe Signed by Cowboys

I understand about the age, and I feel similarly about it, but IMO the guy is a little better than those two. I could be wrong but that’s how I feel.

I guess we’ll see how it goes but I’ve liked him at tackle going back to when he played at Washington.
He's a lot better than Steele for sure, and Knight was poor last year after the knee injury.

PFF grades last year
Nsekhe 80.3
Knight 48.5
Steele 50.3

I mean... this wasn't really close.
In fairness in his career he has been closer to mid 60s mostly but Knight and Steele are a long ways from mid 60s.
Solid stop gap signing.

I wonder what Knight's grade was the previous year, when he didn't have to play LT? Not saying that's a reason to not sign Nsekhe. Both of our backup tackles are right tackles, with Knight being the better one at this point IMO. In fact, I'm not sure Knight wouldn't be better served at guard.

I thought we'd bring back Erving, but he clearly got a better offer than we would have made. Nsekhe appears to be a good replacement, possibly even an upgrade.

A very favorable comparison for sure.

I'm curious, do they have Cam Erving's 2020 numbers for comparison?

Just save this for everybody short of Tom Brady. Watch film, not names.

No, my point went over yours. You're not a GM or a scout so you wouldn't know what should be the picks.

You still aren't getting the point. But again, as I am sure many here can attest, it's not surprising that you aren't getting it.

All I can say is we need to hit on a about 70% of our draft picks this year.

Is this one of the annual FAs who won't make the roster?

They're still drafting a OT.

Ya'll are complaining bc he's old and he's not a started, but he fills a need. Backup swing tackle was a problem last year. Knight went through growing pains and Steele was pretty bad. Ty is an upgrade there day one. You don't want him/Knight to start, but you hope at least one of Smith/Collins can stay healthy this year.

He did great blocking for Sammy Baugh and Sonny Jurgensen. I'm glad the Cowboys are sparing no expense to protect their $40 million quarterback.
