Being optimistc 8-8. Based on his Carolina performance, 6-10.

After that carolina game, and knowing that we hadn't be playing well in most phases of the game, Its hard for me to say. I can say "we would have 8 wins", but it wouldn't make me feel better, and its not necessarily the truth. The truth is Romo got hurt, twice. He played terrible in the last game he got hurt in. We didn't play well in the first two games we won with him. We won the first game because of bad coaching by the opponents coach.... Not to mention we have been inefficient running the ball, we are mistake prone, we don't create turnovers, and our special teams coverage has been terrible.

So in a way we needed to be exposed for our weaknesses, so management can make the proper decisions in the offseason (hopefully, ugghh).

Their offense figured us out and was unstoppable in the 2nd half. Weeden actually put up 28 that game and Romo likely would have done the same or a few more, but IMO they flat out crushed us in the 2nd half on both sides of scrimmage

What they figured out is that Weeden would not challenge them downfield. So they loaded up the box and stopped the run, that had been crushing them.

They would not have done that against Romo because he absolutely would have challenged them downfield.

With Romo we KILL Atlanta.

To answer the OP....

I think a healthy Romo we win the Atlanta, Saints, Bucs, Seahawks and the second Giants and Eagles games. So that's six games better right there. We'd have at least 10 w's right now.

I still think we would lose the New England and Carolina games, probably. That's not assured, at least against New England. Our D started out very good against them and I think with a real QB playing we would have put points on the board and that game could have gone either way.

Carolina I still think would have won but it wouldn't have been nearly as ugly had Romo been healthy all year, instead of coming in having played only once in 2 months.

The only games that I really wouldn't be sure would be a different outcome, w/l wise, is the Patriots, Panthers and Packers games. We could have still lost all 3 of those with a healthy Romo.

But we'd have been in them all, I believe.

I think we'd be at least 10-3 with a decent possibility of being as good as 12-1 but that would have been a real long shot having to have won 2 out of the 3 games here that I felt were by far the only ones that I could for sure mark down as losses.

Just seeing how close this team was in those other games that they lost, with really piss poor QB play, I think Romo definitely gets us those W's. In all those other losses competent QB play is all that separated us from a W.

These other three....ehhhh...much more of a toss up. Competent QB play may not have been enough to win those games. Definitely would have been better, closer, games but maybe still not enough.

It's really easy to tell the people who have an obvious agenda here, 8-8 really? Thanks for alerting the rest of us to take your discussions with a complete grain of salt. Maybe a half grain.

We were a couple of plays away in just about every game. Even a competent QB would probably have us at 4 losses right now. A healthy Antonio and it'd be a double digit win season, at the least.

A couple plays away? Yup but we didn't get it done and it had much more to do with just inadequate qb play. Dez could have sealed the Tampa game with a catch that hit him right in the numbers. It doesn't matter who threw it, he dropped it. He also dropped many other critical passes.

Our O line and running game let us down, bad play calling, bad defense, it goes on and on. Some people act like we're the only team that was "a couple plays away" from winning. Do you realize how many teams can say that? I think I heard a stat the other day that if the Giants could take away the final 75 seconds of 5 games they've played this year they would be 11-2.

We didn't get the job done. That's it.

If this forces a change in HC and philosophies, Romo being out would have been for the better most likely.

Based off the way he's played this year I'd say 3-10?

No agenda at all. I think if there is an agenda its oversstating how good the team is, even with Romo. We were a .500 team with all parts pretty healthy for years. Last yer with optimal health and an MVP RB we go 12-4. The first game this year we came out sloppy and bad and if not for the Giants choking on time, we lose. Second game not much better. Romo is a stud but we have serious RB issues and Dez got hurt. So with Romo and our lesser cast teams would attack Romo. Oline wasn't exactly being protective studs. No way to tell how that plays out but acting like we automatically win games because we looked close with a backup makes no sense because we still had issues....RB, D and WR....Oline. I think giving us 2-3 more wins is very rational. Also, who is Antonio? If you can't get names right, then I take your comments with a grain of salt and homerism. :)

We would have probably ended up 8-8 again. This is what this team is at this point and most years prior. A bad team that Tony Romo gets to 8-8. Remember when the Browns went 10-6 in 2007? That was our 2014 season. A total anomaly.

I don't think Romo was healthy in that game. The Cowboys should have sat him. We weren't winning it anyway.

That's a cop out....He was fine in Miami and got us a win. We just got beatdown by a Carolina team that was more physical than us....and wanted it more.

Just for fun and wishful thinking.

I say, given our issues in other areas, likely 8-5. Which we would probably be complaining about but it would give us a nice 2 game cushion with 3 games left.

Romo wins us the NO, Tampa, and at least one of the PHI/NYG/SEA games. We still lose to NE, CAR, GB, ATL for sure.

I think we lose to New England, Carolina and Green Bay and that's it. Maybe one other loss among the rest ... so 9-4.

Well he was 3-1 when he started. The 1 loss coming on a short week where he took a lot of shots 4 days before, body definitely wasn't ready to play. He has a top 10 Defense this year, and the cowboys were in all their games really. So I could def see us being 10-3 right now if he's healthy.

Carolina had a good defensive plan that seemed to confuse Romo, so IMO he was outsmarted in that one. I do think playing his first game on a Sunday and then having to turn around and play again Thursday had some effect on a player who had been out so long. (There were some throws he missed that I don't think he would normally.)

If Romo had not been injured, I believe he would have settled in and the game would have been closer, but we weren't beating Carolina that day because they definitely were the more physical team.

We seem to have lost our physical identity this year without Murray.
