You guys smoke rocks. Read Mr. Sturm, he gets it and I say is way smarter than me or you. We have had good performance, though not quite as good as last year, from the Oline and running game.

We have **** the bed with third downs, which is very attributable to your QB.

I'm in at 10-6 we finish this year with him. Next year I'll lift all offers on our winning record below 9, which I bet you guys have in spades.

A lot can happen before we should worry about next year have get thought this season and the Draft and FA first !

Just for fun and wishful thinking.

I say, given our issues in other areas, likely 8-5. Which we would probably be complaining about but it would give us a nice 2 game cushion with 3 games left.

Romo wins us the NO, Tampa, and at least one of the PHI/NYG/SEA games. We still lose to NE, CAR, GB, ATL for sure.

7-5

I like it. I will go with 10-6.

Prior to the season I predicted 9-7 and we looked like a 9-7 team on opening day vs a Giants team that I didn't think was very good and said so immediately after the game.

Who knows. Besides the last drive of the Giants game, he was very meh. Looked pretty subpar against Philly. Rusty against the Dolphins with signs of what he usually is. Terrible against Carolina.

Signs like leading the league in completion percentage? Signs like 30 plus TDs? Signs like leading the league in Third down completions and average yards per catch?

Got it - thanks

He was 3-1 in games he played in and that was with one incredible comeback to beat the Giants. Coming off injury mid way through the season is a lot of rust to expect him to play great. And certainly he had all the weight on his shoulders trying to be the hero. Which we know is NOT when Romo plays his best ball.

No agenda at all. I think if there is an agenda its oversstating how good the team is, even with Romo. We were a .500 team with all parts pretty healthy for years. Last yer with optimal health and an MVP RB we go 12-4. The first game this year we came out sloppy and bad and if not for the Giants choking on time, we lose. Second game not much better. Romo is a stud but we have serious RB issues and Dez got hurt. So with Romo and our lesser cast teams would attack Romo. Oline wasn't exactly being protective studs. No way to tell how that plays out but acting like we automatically win games because we looked close with a backup makes no sense because we still had issues....RB, D and WR....Oline. I think giving us 2-3 more wins is very rational. Also, who is Antonio? If you can't get names right, then I take your comments with a grain of salt and homerism. :)

Antonio is Tonys real name, silly.

2-3 more wins isn't even objective, it's telling that you have an agenda or didn't watch the games. The offense was sloppy and the OL was bad, in particular because they hadn't played together in the preseason and Martin still had a stinger. The defense was shorthanded all along the front 7 early in the season.

Weeden and Cassel are terrible. You're giving them way too much credit. You, me, and everyone else was thinking "wow, if we had a QB that could even make an NFL throw we'd have put enough points on the board". And that's one cause for everyone's frustration.

Romo is on a while different level than those scrubs, and yet we were still a TD / fg or even a few first downs away in crunch time to win almost all of them.

If you dont believe in the Romo myth after these last two seasons then you really are a hopeless Romo hater.

We have come to bury him, not praise him!
th

Right-o. Holler at me when the Romo myth begins anew. Say after he wins his 3rd career playoff win.
Quite an accomplishment for a walkon who is now long in the tooth and chronically brittle and/or injured. But I do like myths. A few 8-8 years, a stellar 12-4 and then back to mediocrity before the long, long fall to awfuldom. But if he can get back healthy, one of these days, with some winning years, who knows, maybe as good as Danny White who won many playoff games.

4.5-4.5, he's a .500 or worse with a throw throw throw gameplan and thats exactly what we were doing again with him at the helm. Folk want to say we were 3-1 with him, but let's be honest, Eli/Coughlin lost the gamegame for NY, not Romo winning it. Let's not even talk about his performance vs Philly game 2 either, because he sucked that game too. Romo didn't not play one single game this year where he looked like he was a top tier QB. NOT ONE!!

I said 13-0 earlier, but really, probably 8-8, maybe 9-7 for the year.

I'm starting to wonder if last year was a fluke. We could've easily went 8-8.

Yep. We could've also easily went 16-0. We were that good last year. Problem with the Cowboys is we play down to the competition even when we're the best team in the league. We could've won all 16 games, we could've lost 8, instead we won 12. Not bad, but could be better. In most years it's more like: we could've won 12 games, we could've lost 12 games, instead we won 8. Even when almost everything is going right, we find a way to come up short. No Super Bowl winners have perfect seasons. They deal with injuries, draft busts, have drama, but still find a way to overcome those setback. The Cowboys, on the other hand, always have an excuse for why we failed. I've heard bad defense, bad O-line, no receivers, bad play calling, etc over the years. We usually end up addressing our biggest flaw and then some other flaw shows up.

This is what the team is. At our greatest, we win one playoff game. At the lowest, 5 win team. More often then not. 7-9, 8-8, 10-6. Thats the Dallas Cowboys. Dont beleive me? I agree. He looked bad this season. But I'd still call Romo an elite QB. The problem is, the team is so bad that he can't muster more than 8 wins on a regular basis. His career winning average is .602, which is 9.5 games in a 16 game season. Not even 10 which usually guarantees a playoff spot. Add in the fact that he usually misses a few games a year (which we almost always lose) and it explains why we're usually an 8-8 team throughout the Romo era. It's no knock on Romo. That's just how bad we are. We're a 1-win team this year. If we didn't have Romo, we'd be getting the 1st pick in the draft every year. Who knows, maybe if that was the case, we could've drafted some real quality players in the top half of the draft. Instead, we pick 15-20 every year and hit and miss (usually hit when it comes to O-line but miss when it comes to anything else). I can't fault Romo for being good enough to win 8 games a year on a team that has no business winning more than 1. But we definitely don't have a good team and haven't had one in the past 20 years. We're the Cleveland Raiders.

Yep. With an occasional 12 or 13 win season to balance out the occasional 4 or 5 win season, averaging out to..... 8-8 year in year out.
