My God. Of the "two" against the 'Skins last year, one was mentioned by BP as not even Roy's fault because of the DEFENSE THAT WAS CALLED. So, where am I spinning anything?

It looks like you don't even know the facts about the situation.

Listen, I love Roy. I'm just tired of all the constant "Roy can do no wrong" thing that is prevailage among alot of Cowboy fans.

That is why Michael laughed at you. Dude, there is noway you can take up for Roy today, especially for those two plays. Only a homer would.

No. Unlike both you and Michael, I don't tend to blame someone unless I KNOW THE ACTUAL FACTS BEHIND THE EVENT.

That is what led you to be wrong when pointing out Roy was at fault in "two plays" against Washington last year, when the FACTS said it was just one.

I give up.

Roy was perfect tonight, he did nothing wrong.

Yeah, that's what I said. ;)

I suppose me admitting to his fault in ONE of the pass plays against Washington shows me as a "Roy" homer, even though it agrees with the FACTS.

You sound like HeavyHitta31 (sometimes) when his agenda is in full gear.

We will have to agree to disagree. Roy has been horrible in coverage on several occasions, and nothing you are going to say is going to change my opinion, cause I know it is true.

OK, so what about the play in the endzone, all watkins, right??

I mean, I know now from you that in the the other play, Roy was in the "Give up an touchdown" defense, so that one is forgiven.

One thing is for sure Roy and Patrick better get it together with the Giants coming up. We all know that all Eli does is throw it up deep.

On the LJ Smith play.

here is the video:

youtube crap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6WnofxiUac

1) Watkins was lined up directly in the MIDDLE of the field and takes off running to Anthony Henry's side of the field. Anthony Henry has 1 reciever to his side. Westbrook took off thru the middle of the line and then headed to the flat on Henry's side... but Ware shadowed him the whole way.
Why was Watkins lined in the middle of the field and then run to Henry's side? It looked like Henry had man coverage just like Ware.

2) Roy creeped up toward the line just before the snap. My honest opinion, I think Roy MAY have been cheating up and watching for the screen to Westbrook AGAIN after they had run that play a crap load of times in the 1st quarter. Roy let LJ Smith run by him... either watching McNabb or for the screen too much and didn't notice him... or because he actually had the responsibility of playing the flat.

3) Roy takes off backpedaling only AFTER the FB engages Greg Ellis as Ellis is pass rushing.

Was Roy's responsibility to cover the TE or to cover the flat (which is what he abandoned after the FB began to block)?

Agenda?? What is my agenda exactly?? If I have one, I would like to at least know what it is.

I guess telling it like you see it is an agenda.

Certainly both safeties were abysmal today. There is no getting around that. I don't wish to berate the hell out of either. It concerns me somewhat about how easily Philly got behind coverage.

I'm willing to cut Watkins some slack - as long as he learns from this experience. The kid will have his share of struggles. Pat just needs to get something out of it.

Roy knows better. That's all I will say.

Plenty of blame to go around today. Picking on the safeties because we can't generate a constant pass rush just seems a little wrong to me.

Watkins and Roy Williams combined to give up no less than three cataclysmic plays today that combined for 21 points to a bush league set of WR's today.

Our safeties in coverage continue to prevent us from becoming a dominant defense.

Yes and no. Whoever it was that had McNabb and then missed him on that TD to Baskett has to take some blame.... so close... ugh

Considering Philly has a very good O-line and a big mobile guy like McNabb behind it, I was actually pleasantly surprised with the pass rush. Not that it was a terror, but it was better than I expected.

The safeties, however, were not even close to what I expected.

You come in here with that approach - not being self-righteous, condescending, or acting like you know every single responsibility on that defensive call and no one will listen to you. Sad.

For what it's worth, I have no idea who was responsible. It could have been Roy. It wouldn't be the first time someone got beat...

I'm just surprised that we have so many self-appointed experts who are sure that they know EXACTLY who to blame. I saw a lot go wrong with a lot of guys.
