Our safeties were nothing less than a disgrace today...

At some point.. you might try giving up on the idiotic sarcasm and actually provide some thoughts on WHY exactly you think Roy is at fault other than "He was closest"

we told you why already, Roy thought Pat was supposed to be covering LJ, and judging by Parcells' reaction after the play, he was

Exactly the simple response I expected from you.

We had this problem before BP got here.

Here is a hint: Zimmer the village idiot has been here all along.

if you do your research, Parcells says Zimmer is creative, and at times he has him strip down his playbook going into Sunday

if Zimmer had his way, we'd be going all out in blitz packages

we dont know that for sure

I tend to think its a combination of niether having a real clue what to do defensively

none of Zimmer's blitz schemes worked before Parcells got here either

that's because he hasn't had players in the front 4 outside of Glover and Ellis, and neither seemed to be taking advantage of the double teams the other saw, the 1st half of '03 was blitzing wizardry

OK, when was the reaction, did they flash the camera over there or after they came off the field?

My point is this, you can't prove Pat is at fault.

Opposing QBs can see Zimmer's blitzes coming a mile away.

I could see the Philly blitzes from a mile away as well.

How would you run the defense differently?

it'd be run alot more aggressively than it is now

I think one of the reasons our players make so many mistakes is that they spend to much time thinking and not enough time just being aggressive and doing what their talent tells them to do...virtually all the guys we've drafted were playmakers in college on teams that played aggressive schemes...yet when they get here we dont see them make many plays

they need to run a scheme where they attack the LOS more...they dont have to blitz all the time, but we have guys in the front 7 who should be able to make plays at or behind the LOS more than they do now...we spend way too much time on OUR side of the LOS, and not enough disrupting plays (run and pass) in the other teams backfield

And yet, somehow Roy is at fault according to you for even more vacuous reasons.

This is an example of what is meant by the phrase, "the pot is calling the kettle black."

Hmm... was kind of hoping for a more specific answer than just "be more aggressive".

With all the posts you make criticising Mike Zimmer.... I thought you'd be able to describe the defensive schemes, tactics, blitzes, and coverages that you would run to do exactly what you say Zimmer does not do.

Hey, they both sucked. But I'm much more likely to give the rookie some leeway as opposed to the guy many on this board have suggested is the "Best" safety in football.

I'm tired of arguing, fine, it was nobody's fault. They just scored a TD cause it was fate.

So? If you blame Zimmer, you have blame Parcells as well. Parcells forced the team to implement his defense of choice. Any issues with defensive philosophy have to extend to Parcells.

As great as people claim Roy Williams is he'll always be a liability in pass coverage and having a rookie FS back their isn't helping matters at all. Watkins had a horrible game, point blank....

Exactly right.
