I havent looked at their schedule, but I doubt they do.

And honestly if they do go 16-0 I couldnt care less, as long as they fail in the postseason like they did in 2007 again.

Ya, I think they get tripped up in the postseason, which is why I think they go 16-0 in the regular season like they did 2 years ago. I'm assuming Brady,Moss and Welker and everyone else stays relatively heathy also.

barring injury they will do no worse than 14-2 or 15-1. If Indy doesn't beat them than nobody will in the regular season.

I guess we'll see...thats why they play the games

I really wouldnt be surprised if they finished 10-6 or 11-5

They can't go 16-0, they face TO twice. All they have to do is get him the ball and great things will happen.

This trade is worse then the Gasol to Lakers. What a rip, 2nd round pick for Peppers. These GMs should be fired.

That LB group of Peppers - Thomas - Mayo and whomever will be their 4th LB... that's going to be a helluva front seven. And they'll have the experience in the secondary with Bodden and Springs at CB.

Then, there's that offense led by that one QB.

The offense will make them go again.

Brady is an amazing player.

I have only seen him play once in person and that was here in Dallas.

He was tremendous that day. The most impressive play he made was a play that was incomplete. The throw to moss in the third quarter when he was standing on his own 35 and just threw it to moss on the sideline of the middle of the endzone. It was a perfect throw from over 60 yards away.

It was clear to me that day that he was the best qb in the league and one of the best to ever play. I love romo, But the difference between romo and brady was evident that day.

I dont think anyone else playing, not even peyton manning is as good as brady and that coupled with the brains of belichick are what makes the pats the pats.

Players like springs, galloway, baker and peppers are smart players who will fit right in with that team. Belichick will create roles for them and they will excel in them.

Its a luxury for the pats and their fans and disgust for everyone else.

Well Jerry here you go Julius Peppers to the Patriots... WOW!! you should have tried to trade Greg Ellis and our 2nd Round pick to Carolina to try to get him. But as usual you react to slow. Could you have imagined if we had Ware, Spencer, Peppers, Brooking & James I think that would be the best linebacking corp in the NFL. But I guess we will never know. Thanks Jerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Why can't you be more like a owner who will do whatever it takes to get back to the Superbowl. If you have to go get players then get them don't wait.

Are you sure we would even have the money to fit Peppers under the cap when we've yet to extend DWare?

How in the hell are they affording all these guys?????

Because they do not hold on and overpay for the Flozell Adams opps

They do not give TO a big extension to keep him happy

They do not overpay for guys like Marion Barber good players but over payed

They've got some geniuses working up in Foxboro.
Sending the 2nd rounder they just got for Cassell to Carolina for Peppers is considered genius?

You know,

IF we were to sign Holt, get one more decent CB in FA, and have a solid draft, we could be every bit as scary as the Pats.
The ? is Brady and if he's going to be fully recovered mentally and physically.

But I love our TEs and cast of RBs.

If we had Holt, I'd still prefer the Pats WRs because they are proven. But our wideouts would be good enough to get the job done.

We need our OL to step up big time. And it's really more the depth at this stage. We need some real depth.

But that's a lot of if's on our part.
Let's see how Jerry reacts to the Peppers Trade; maybe he'll get the itch and sign a big name...maybe a Holt? Ken Lucas - CB is also available (to meet your vet CB quota) but there have been conflicting assessments about his abilities. I have no idea about Lucas but I would like to get Holt for the "right" contract......

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers denied a report Monday they’ve discussed trading four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers to the New England Patriots.

The reason: They aren’t allowed to have any trade talks involving Peppers until he signs his one-year tender worth $16.7 million — or until his agent brokers a deal with another team and comes to Carolina for approval.

NFL.com, citing unidentified sources, reported the Panthers and Patriots were close to a deal that would send Peppers to the Patriots for New England’s second-round pick, 34th overall, that was acquired from Kansas City in the Matt Cassel trade.

“By the rules of the (collective bargaining agreement) we cannot and have not had any conversations with other teams about Julius,” Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said in a statement. “Under the non-exclusive franchise tag, Julius and his agent, Carl Carey, are within their rights to talk to other teams about a potential contract. However, at this point, we are not aware of any such conversations.”

Carey did not immediately return phone and e-mail messages seeking comment.

Peppers, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2002 draft and Carolina’s all-time sacks leader, announced after the season that he wanted to play elsewhere, and preferably move to outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense, which New England employs.

But the Panthers still placed the franchise tag on Peppers, which allows teams to sign Peppers only if they surrender two first-round picks in return. However, Peppers and his agent could work out a deal for less compensation and take it to the Panthers for approval. A trade could avoid an ugly holdout.

Even though Peppers has not signed the tender, that money counts against Carolina’s salary cap, giving it virtually no room to sign other players in free agency.

We will see if they like a guy that will cost 40 million guaranteed that takes GAMES off. Now, if he can get Peppers to play then it might be a home run.

Don't necessarily disagree but want to point out the difference between a field general and someone who has the tools. Obviously it takes both to be a great player and at least you must have the tools to be a good one at the QB position.

But to call Brady the best of all time is too much for an old-timer like me. Granted QBs in this day and age don't really call plays as in the 'old days' but I think it's a mistake to overlook it. I'm sure people are tired of my proclaiming Johnny Unitas as the greatest QB of all time but its certainly not due to his arm which was above average at best. Brady can definitely execute but I wouldn't even put him on the same level as Romo regarding the ability to improvise. And Romo is not as good as others in the league like McNabb in that respect.

I'm sure many would agree and I could argue Brady as the greatest of all time if I felt that way. But there is more to it than just the ability to pass accurately and remain calm and focused. Which Brady has in spades.

Maybe I'm just be argumentative. Wouldn't be the first time. JMO.

...and the rich keep getting richer!!! Maybe they'll have the same problem Dallas had last season, too many stars & egos and not enough substance...or, they could make a run @ 19-0!! Damn, I'll be jealous as hell if this comes to fruition.
