Patriots to get J. Peppers...

Oh really how do you know this?

I remember you laughing and having this same attitude towards me when I said in the preseason of 07 that the pats looked different than everyone else and had a chance to be unbeaten. If I recall I think you said they would be lucky to go 11-5 in 07?

So why do you have a crystal ball now?

and did they win the superbowl? nope

in fact they almost lost in both playoff games, at home

dblair is negative nelly, and shoots everything down. Doesn't surprise me that he said that.

yeah ok...I'm too negative

tomorrow someone will say I'm too much of a blind homer...

when people accuse you of both that usually means your right down the middle...I call stuff like I see it...some of its bad, some of its good

Saying Crayton is a good reciever doesn't count. That would be a false statement. I'm looking...finding nothing...

ok...whatever man

I told you that a few days ago:)

Yah well, they basically get Peppers for Cassell. Money and all is very similar too. They will sign Peppers long term and get the opportunity to win a SB discount like they did with Moss. Trust me. If there was 1 thing I could have unconditionally in Dalls, whethr it be a player, executive or coach I'd take Belichick. Without a doubt I'd want him more than anything else I could add to this team right now.

Peppers isnt going to sign with anyone for a discount

I hear these guys talking about Crayton and Ellis going to Detroit for their 2nd and 4th? The trigger should have already been pulled if that was the case. There is nothing to think about there.

Ditto.

Of course it helps to have Brady as your QB!

Well whom ever gets Peppers is going to have to sign him to a long term contract. I will be glad when Ware is locked up long term.

The only way I see us trading Crayton as part of a package is getting another veteran WR first.

We simply can't go into the season with RWilliams, Austin, and Hurd as our top 3 wideouts. If we were to go get Holt, for example, then I could see us trying to leverage Crayton.

The Pats won't take him if they don't think he's gonna do a decent deal with them. When Moss was on the market I thought the same thing but they let him test it and he signed with them for what was said to be about $2 million less a year. That's significant. I do understand your perception of Peppers and any other team than the Pats I would agree.

Peppers will absolutely not get Haynesworth type money as we know because of the age factor but he won't average almost $15 million a year like Haynesworth either. He'll get $10 million a season with $27.5 million guaranteed over 5 years. At today's market that's a discount for a player like Peppers as crazy as those numbers are.

He's da best. They're not young the Pats but if this all goes through they are going to be savvy, talented vet scary. With the best puppet master in the game too.

They were good enough to win 11 games without Brady playing a single down. We managed 9 wins, and we only lost Romo for 3 games.

Patriots will be tough as hell next year. Easily could see them winning another Super Bowl.

Hopefully we win a playoff game this year. I haven't abandoned hope on that quite yet.

Good point. And rarely (but occasionally) do rookie WRs come in and make an impact. A couple did last year, but it's unusual.
