Plenty of what fish in the sea? QB prospects with high upside?
QB prospects on Lynch's level.

Being a first rounder and being the fourth pick are dramatically different. No one in there right mind is saying don't take Elliott in the first round.
Correlation =\= causation. Each prospect is his own set of probabilities and potential outcomes.
We have no idea what Lynch's % looks like at MSU.
I'm saying if you was or wasn't considering taking him at 4 to begin with nothing has change in terms of his value.
QB prospects on Lynch's level.
Well keep on believing Cook is a safer pick than Lynch. I don't know what to tell you other than the fact that there was an analysis that college QBs who can't even complete 60% of his passes in even one season, rarely, if ever make it as a NFL QB.
You can't move up unilaterally. You need a willing trade partner. And we don't nudge for Wentz...while already being @ 4? Just doesn't make sense. We get Bosa instead of a potential franchise QB?

Look, Lynch isn't Andrew Luck or Jameis Winston out there. But his ceiling and potential puts him on another level than any other QB in this draft other than Goff and Wentz.
Now would I take him at 4? Probably not. But if I could trade down and grab another pick or two in the first 2-3 rounds? Absolutely, I would consider taking him.
He's a much better prospect than bums like Cook and Prescott.

Completely agree. When taking all those things into consideration though, I think you have to consider bust potential as well. I think Zeke also has one of the lowest bust potentials while also having one of the highest ceilings and being a top 5 overall talent.
With the other two first round ranked QBs potentially going 1 and 2 do you believe Lynch will be there in a trade down?
He's a prospect on the level of guys like Carr and Bridgewater, who you can get in the late first round most seasons. We don't have to find our future QB this year. If the value lines up - great. If it doesn't - wait a year and make the call then.
I think you could move down into the teens and take Lynch. I think he might be there but I don't see him there in the 2nd or even late first.

That was a safe assumption yesterday assuming Lynch would be there in the teens the Rams trade changed that today.
This Rams trade should open some eyes to the reality of how expensive it is to get a potential franchise QB via the draft. Looking at it, it will actually be less of a risk to take a shot this year vs having to move up in future years. The way the draft is shaping up Lynch may be our safest gamble even if he wouldn't be the starter for three years.
If you think I am arguing that we should take Lynch at 4, you are misreading me.
My only point from the start of this thread is that Lynch is a much better prospect than the next crop of QBs that people are throwing around like Cook, Hackenberg, etc.
You are ignoring the point I'm trying to make how much in future draft picks will it cost us to wait a year or two. Look how much Washington gave up for RGIII look how much the Rams gave up for whom ever they take.
In retrospectively looking back Carr was worth 4th overall they lucked out.
