I think if the 'stars align.' If the Feds jump in, if the NCAA commands Penn State to be forthcoming, if more victims are unafraid to come out, and if Sandusky and Paterno are still alive...I think this will be crazier beyond our wildest dreams. I believe that if those things happen, it will transcend American sports forever.

I was thinking that Joe Pa probably won't be around when all the lawsuits have been settled, the guilty punished and the university gains some sort of "normalcy".

But their will probably be others out of the scene by the time that point is reached, one way or another. I wouldn't be shocked if the football coaching staff had been totally turned over along with entire PSU board and several others in power. Not because they did anything wrong (most of them anyway) but because the passage of time is going to be pretty great on this one I think.

The opinion piece is great... well written...

Had Paterno acted differently, fewer boys would have been violated...

Last night you doubted his knowledge to the situation calling me a guesser...

Now we know more... check in trickblue's post's... JoePa KNEW what he was doing...

The bottom line is that JoePa is likely as slimey as many more... it hurts me to say so as I was reared to respect him...

There is a lot to be gained when you are pulling in 5 mil a year...

They both should have been fired. I actually thought Bradley would do the right thing today and announce he would be fired too. At the end of the season, the entire staff needs to go.

Second of all, Sandusky was FORCED to resign...

I love how you KNOW what Paterno knew when even the cops don't. Whatever line of business you are in you should get out of it and become a mind reader at a carnival. You'd clean up.

I wish he was forced to resign, he may not have had access to the campus had he been. He retired and was given a lot of perks, as part of a retirement package. I think the scandal forced his retirement. I think non action by the police and the DA allowed them to believe he should still be afforded the retirement perks.
