News: Per Eatman: Josh Brent placed on Retired/Reserved List

If known prior to the draft, it could have inversely affected the draft, as to,the way it fell. They may have reached for a DT, and we may not have got Greagory and / or Jones. Those 2 are so much more than a DT we could have got at the time we were picking.

It's not just about sack numbers. It's holding the fort vs. the run. And with being 2nd to last in rushing TD's allowed– it's not happening.

I would bet the Cowboys had an inking there was an issue. But like RB, they didn't have a DT drop to them who represented a good value.

Thank god the Brent experiment is over. 1) good news this wont be a distraction during training camp. 2) Jerry should be on the phone with Les Snead trying to get Brockers for a mid rounder right now
 
And this guy Brent wasn't near the talent of the new ruffians we half added to the team recently.
Just go to prove that jerra is an equal-opportunity employer who hires the talented and untalented.
 
Didn't read every post in this thread so have no clue if there was an explanation as to why he retired. However, the way all knowing Rod treats the 1tech position it shouldn't matter who rotates in there...someone off the street can fulfill the duties of the 1tech. So no worries Cowboys fans...we can find depth or a starter there off the street.

We are not going to draft a 1 tech in the first unless he's a monster like Suh.

And if we're in a position to draft a monster like Suh. Things went horribly wrong for us.
